If you go on Shark Tooth Island now, you’ll find the Roman soldier from Time Tangled Island there on top of a building! He can also be found in Ancient Greece guarding the Treasury on Time Tangled, but what’s he doing here? For those who haven’t seen this guy up here before, he stood there with the same message about 6 years ago to promote the release of Time Tangled before the island came out.

You’ll notice he says “Time Twisted” instead of Time Tangled – that’s because Time Tangled was referred to as Time Twisted before the island was released. But what is he doing here now, in 2014, and why doesn’t he at least refer to the island as Time Tangled?

I wonder what this means – is it a glitch in the system? (Maybe that’s why the blimp was glitching? We don’t know.) Why is he back? The Time Tangled SUI was released a while back, but he’s only shown up recently. Stay tuned for more updates!

update #1: PHB reader Cuddly Lion has found that the item images for a map, blueprint, picture, and comic for various different islands have gone missing! What’s going on?

Seems like a glitch, but at least three items are missing their pictures – that’s crazy! Are the Creators planning something, or just having some trouble getting it together?

update #2: There’s a new area on Shark Tooth now! Go left when you get off the blimp and there’s a little island! There’s also more on Astro-Knights, Vampire’s Curse, Lunar Colony, and floating car on Night Watch Island! O_O WOW! (Thanks HP and HCM!)

P.S. I wonder, with the release of Monster Carnival on for tomorrow, Friday, will this be somehow part of the island? And if not, then what’s going on??

Hey Poptropicans! Recently, there’s been an issue where the blimp on the Poptropica map won’t move, no matter where you direct your cursor or what island you click on – meaning not being able to travel to a different island. If you’re currently Blimpstuck, read on for a quick fix to get yourself out!

First of all, this seems to be happening on the SUIs (the colored, updated islands), such as Mocktropica, so avoid those for now until Poptropica fixes the bug. Anyway, to get out, just go to your Store inventory items and travel to the Haunted House. (If you don’t have this gold card item, you can get it for free in the Store.) From there, click on the hole you emerged from to travel to another island, and this time the blimp should be working.

*performs CPR on blimp* stay with me! come on! i’ve still got islands to see, you know!

Again, I’d advise you to stay away from SUIs for now, until the glitch is fixed! In the future, if you run into any bugs, remember to try using a different web browser or computer, and contact Poptropica (via the Contact link on their homepage) about any issues so they can fix them. I hope everyone is satisfied with their portrait! 😀  If you don’t see yours in there, just tell me in the comments.  I’m only taking up to 10 requests this round.  The request limit may differ between rounds, but requests made after the quota (10) will be disregarded. Remember, these portraits are Gravatar friendly, and make great Gravatars! 😛 Also, for you fellow designers who would like an extra, transparent (no background or text) copy of your portrait(s), just request in the comments. 🙂

If you are wanting to have your own Poptropican Portrait, I’d be glad to draw one for you if you follow the following criteria:

  • This is how the system works: you leave requests on the post that has the portraits that were requested last week. I will only take requests that are left on the latest portrait post.
  • Requests must be made by the owner of the account. I really would like if people would stop requesting portraits for their friends; if the friends really want them enough, they can come on here and request them.
  • I must have either a username or a link to the Avatar Studio included in the request. Otherwise, I will have to use a low quality photo from somewhere on the web, which makes the colors different from the actual character.
  • No requesting two times for the same character unless it’s a specialty. Sometimes, I will make another one, because I wasn’t pleased with it. Please tell me in the comments how you liked your portrait! If you are not pleased, I am very sorry.
  • Keep in mind that I need you to keep the outfit that you want to be drawn from the time that you request it to the time that it is published. Otherwise, I will draw something you may not have been expecting! So please keep that in mind.
  • I won’t accept glitch accounts anymore if it’s not your main account. I’ll still accept minor accounts, just not if they’re loaded with glitches. They’re difficult to draw, and most of the time the items are from advertisements, which I don’t enjoy drawing…

PHB Parties

Recap: PHB Valentine’s Party 2014!

Hello Poptropicans! Even though I was a little late to the party (I had some business to attend to) I still had a lot of fun with everyone! Here’s a post to recap what went down at our Valentine’s fest. 🙂

We had a great showing of guests at the party, eager to meet in Multiverses! We also had several of the PHB authors show up: Samwow5 (me), Shaggy Tornado, HPuterpop, Brave Tomato, Blake and even former author Super Thunder! There were other Poptropica bloggers as well, like Silver Wolf (Wondalfy), and Nameless Undefined (Invisible). We had a ton of fun doodling and partying in Multiverse rooms! Here are some pictures:

According to HP, this was the night of love, dried peas, and super chunky junky monkeys. Hey! WHAT? Is he talking about me? 😛 Also, for those who missed out on the chat or just want to relive the awesomeness, PHC owner Pixel created a video for it (it’s sped up, but feel free to pause):

mciEDIT: Monster Carnival Island may not be out today, but it’s confirmed to be coming out next week (probably Thursday, if we’re following Poptropica’s usual pattern for island releases)! 😀 But we still don’t have a full trailer, just a teaser…

MCI is not on the map yet, and we don’t know when it’ll be out for non-members, but keep checking back here on the PHB for the latest Poptropica news!

Quick post — check this pic out! Was I almost right about my prediction?? It’s not on the homepage yet… check back for more! 😀 The servers seem very boggy… are they uploading the island right now?
