ASG gift

Our Avatar Studio Gift is a present to the Poptropica community, containing a compendium of usernames that will allow access to rare (typically uncustomizable) costumes on Poptropica by way of the Avatar Studio Glitch, commonly known as ASG.

How to ASG

👕👉 The ASG can currently be performed using the ASG Machine created by idk. Enter the following into the tool:

  1. the username of the costume you want to clone (a list of usernames is found below — hover with your cursor to see their name),
  2. the username of the account you want to copy the costume onto, and
  3. the password of the account in step 2.

Don’t worry, your login information won’t be stored—it’s simply used to perform the ASG.

Important notes

  • This could also change your character’s gender if your gender is not the same as the ASG account.
  • In the case of the costume appearing on a new unsaved account instead of your own account, try doing this on a different web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox).
  • An ASG-able account (for those interested in making their own) must be wearing one of the following: jetpack from Early Poptropica, glider from Time Tangled, bowtie from Spy, or chameleon suit from Spy.

*Rare accounts for ASG are listed below with pictures. Check out the pictures to find something you like, then perform the ASG with the username corresponding to the account pictured to obtain the costume.

  • highSpeed_ASG allows you to run 30% faster on non-SUIs, and adds a cool little blurring motion, but does not work on SUIs (sound-updated islands).
  • WKF_ASG_AN-Princess includes fire hands as seen on the character from Monkey Wrench Island (not pictured in Avatar Studio).
  • PopASG16 can only be ASG’d on a SUI and the costume is not visible on Avatar Studio.
  • idk_customField_ASG – Just use the item card (it’s included with the ASG) and jump. You’ll have a forcefield of green, blue, and black!
  • special_booga_ASG is a special power that summons a bunch of Booga sharks. Like all ASGs, this still changes your costume.
  • idk_suiGlitch_ASG gives your character special glitch eyes (black with white pupils with red crosses). Only works on SUIs.
  • idk_suiGlitch2_ASG gives your character special glitch eyes (black with red pupils). Only works on SUIs.
  • MidasTouchASG turns island NPCs and other players in common rooms gold. To use, click on the action button, then click on a character to give them the gold effect. It doesn’t work on yourself in Haxe.

      1. All right, I can add a few of them, but in general I would prefer more complete and cohesive costumes for this page (more than one or two rare pieces, and items relating to each other). The ASGs came from various places – although some can be found on YouTube, many of them were made especially for this page.

  5. Can someone make ASGs with the uncostumizable tops of some of the females in Arabian Nights? I’m trying to make a combination, but I need to use them to complete it. Thanks!

  16. Thanks for tanking the glitching community guys. Glitching was the only thing that brought the players of Poptropica together and now there is like one or two rares. And on top of that you shut down the Xat and Discord which were the most popular places for players to meet up. Now the Poptropica community has been demolished and everyones connections have been cut. Thanks a lot PHB.

    2. I’m not sure you understand the current state of affairs. Glitching is still around, the chat (now on Discord) is still around, and on top of that, it is hardly “the only thing that brought the players of Poptropica together”.

      It is true that giving away these ASGs to the public made many uncostumizable costume parts “less rare”. That was our goal. There was a lot of greed, jealousy, and hacking within the community because of the “rares”, and our intention was to change that and let everyone enjoy these cool costume parts, rather than a select few hoarding them as status symbols. You can read more about how the glitching community has evolved in this PHB article.

      We did not shut down our chat, and people are still welcome to participate. We moved away from Xat because we found that Discord offered a better chat system. You can read more about the decision and benefits in this PHB post. In fact, within Discord, we even have a channel dedicated to #glitching, where people share and talk about the latest in Poptropica glitching developments. You may even learn about “iPop”, a new tool developed by Santorno that gives much more than the ASGs do. The PHC community was the first to take part in it.

      Finally, your statement that these changes have demolished the community just does not hold up. In the first place, there is much more to the Poptropica community than the glitching aspect. Look around the PHB, PHC, or other facets of the Poptropica Help Network – we talk about Poptropica news, fan art, theories, and much more that goes beyond the scope of glitches. Even if you prefer to stay within the glitching bubble, which is fine, we have not cut that off. As I mentioned, we’ve simply tried different things that work better, of which you are welcome to take part in.

      I hope this clears things up, and that you will see it’s ultimately for the better. Let me know if you have any questions.

      Just to let you know, Wuique/Spiffy, they were shared with us by others, so they had already been in the public realm. Since you’ve deactivated them, we won’t list them anymore, but I do hold on to my earlier statement that hoarding “rares” to oneself has not contributed to flourishing for the Poptropica community.

      1. Honestly, rares where the only thing that kept me interested in Poptropica, Islands got boring after awhile and there is pretty much nothing else to do other than that. I am not completely against this post, but there are some things in which I wish hadn’t been leaked.

      2. Maybe instead of thinking of it as “collecting rares”, you could use these pieces (which are still rarer than regular customizable parts, but not nearly as much as they used to be) as ways to assemble and collect cool costume sets. Our Costumes page may serve as inspiration.

I’m trying to clone it on a different account but I try to go to finish the Early Poptropica island but it keeps teleporting me back the previous screen and taking away the item I got on the item I got on the screen.   44. Hey guys so is the ASG glitch dead? I just tried it several different times but it didn’t work, specifically because you go to home island to start and you can’t stay on another island once you log out. I tried it multiple times and the costumes don’t go on you. So does that mean that’s it for the glitches? Or is there another way? Please help!

  50. I’ve ASGed tyler28765341 for her closed eyes, and every time I log back in, my eyes are open again. I have to ASG just to fix this every single time I play. Is there are a way to make the eyes permanent? (I’m MirandatheGuardian.)

    slantedfish: The glitched eyes tend to show up on classic islands rather than SUIs.

    1. I know, but I mean that if I log off and then come back on however much later, my eyes are open again, no matter what island I’m on. I’ve friended you, and your eyes are always closed. How do you make them stay that way?

    slantedfish: You can perform the ASG, then use iPop (info is on this page) to switch genders.

    1. @peachypie save the asg costume you want by changing the hair and skin colour of your poptropican than go to a sui island and costumize somebody there. click the right bottom button on the screen that comes up and go to your friends tab, the costume should be saved in your closet. to access the costume, click on a friend that has membership and quickly click back to your own, you should be able to cotumize the costume you just saved.hope this helps.;)

  82. I’m happy that the WKF_ASG_AN-Princess has the pink “magic hand”, I used it in one of my outfit combinations and I’m very happy about it.

    Although I wish it also appeared in non-SUI’s… so other players could see it too.

      1. Oh, ok! Btw are you a member? because if you are, you can costumize the wings from your closet. Then you can wear the bow tie from Spy Island. Type in your username here on the comments, then it’s ASG-able.
