ASG gift

Our Avatar Studio Gift is a present to the Poptropica community, containing a compendium of usernames that will allow access to rare (typically uncustomizable) costumes on Poptropica by way of the Avatar Studio Glitch, commonly known as ASG.

How to ASG

👕👉 The ASG can currently be performed using the ASG Machine created by idk. Enter the following into the tool:

  1. the username of the costume you want to clone (a list of usernames is found below — hover with your cursor to see their name),
  2. the username of the account you want to copy the costume onto, and
  3. the password of the account in step 2.

Don’t worry, your login information won’t be stored—it’s simply used to perform the ASG.

Important notes

  • This could also change your character’s gender if your gender is not the same as the ASG account.
  • In the case of the costume appearing on a new unsaved account instead of your own account, try doing this on a different web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox).
  • An ASG-able account (for those interested in making their own) must be wearing one of the following: jetpack from Early Poptropica, glider from Time Tangled, bowtie from Spy, or chameleon suit from Spy.

*Rare accounts for ASG are listed below with pictures. Check out the pictures to find something you like, then perform the ASG with the username corresponding to the account pictured to obtain the costume.

  • highSpeed_ASG allows you to run 30% faster on non-SUIs, and adds a cool little blurring motion, but does not work on SUIs (sound-updated islands).
  • WKF_ASG_AN-Princess includes fire hands as seen on the character from Monkey Wrench Island (not pictured in Avatar Studio).
  • PopASG16 can only be ASG’d on a SUI and the costume is not visible on Avatar Studio.
  • idk_customField_ASG – Just use the item card (it’s included with the ASG) and jump. You’ll have a forcefield of green, blue, and black!
  • special_booga_ASG is a special power that summons a bunch of Booga sharks. Like all ASGs, this still changes your costume.
  • idk_suiGlitch_ASG gives your character special glitch eyes (black with white pupils with red crosses). Only works on SUIs.
  • idk_suiGlitch2_ASG gives your character special glitch eyes (black with red pupils). Only works on SUIs.
  • MidasTouchASG turns island NPCs and other players in common rooms gold. To use, click on the action button, then click on a character to give them the gold effect. It doesn’t work on yourself in Haxe.

    2. There is a way. If you play Arabian Nights part 1 or 2 before that girl becomes a genie, you can try the costumize everything glitch, which may be patched. I have made an ASG with my main account- when you are done using it, please let me know. My username is littlestamy.

    1. I made the ASG on my main account. It has the full Milk Box costume. Tell me when you have ASGed so I can remove the costume. My username is littlestamy. Make sure you tell me when you have finished or else I may take it down within a day.

      2. She’s a person who makes pretty cool costumes. Martyr is fairly new to this whole “Poptropica glitching community”. I heard about her when she shared her username with me and I when I saw her account, I was like “WHOA.” She is apparently making a website for glitches and helping people who are new to Poptropica.

  63. It’s not working for me anymore. I tried pressing “Load” 5 times, then like 50 times, then around 90 times… I’d like to think it’s not patched, so what could I be doing wrong?

      1. How many more times? I got an ASG to work once, but now I’m trying a different one that isn’t, and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

      1. First I tried LoogieDummy; didn’t seem to work, so I tried mashman#_genie (pressing ” Load” more times than before) and it worked.

    3. I can see the mermaid tail and Applebee’s apple using incognito mode of Chrome on my Mac. It’s there, but doesn’t show up on some browsers or computers. Try different browsers or computers until you find one that works for you.

      2. SlantedFish, does the mermaid tail and apple show up in the Avatar Studio and Poptropica? Because when I added her as a friend, she doesn’t have a mermaid tail on, or the apple. And the Avatar Studio shows the same exact thing. How come it is showing up on yours? If you could try the ASG to see if the tail and apple shows up for you, it would be greatly appreciated.

      3. Alright, I’ve tried it (incognito mode on Chrome on a Mac), and the mermaid tail and apple are ASG-able, except that it creates a new account. It doesn’t appear on regular Chrome when I add the account as a friend, suggesting the item has been sort-of removed. Since that’s the case, it would seem that these items aren’t really worth pursuing/collecting since they can’t be seen in friends (and by extension, closets).

  73. I’ve always been able to do the ASG glitch but today, when I tried it, it created a new account with the costume instead of just replacing the current costume on my account!
    I do the ASG, I refresh my page but I’m on a new account and it offers me to create a new username. Does that mean the glitch is patched? Is it happening to anyone else?

    1. That happened to me too! I tried to do the ghost one, ghost_story2500, and it made a completely new account. That is how I got GhostASG. 🙂

  76. I really want the Cat Burglar costume!! It’s a member’s store costume that was available for a limited time for the release of Night Watch Island, but it’s not there anymore. If anyone has it, can you please make it into an ASG? It would be really, really, so much appreciated! Thx!
