ASG gift

Our Avatar Studio Gift is a present to the Poptropica community, containing a compendium of usernames that will allow access to rare (typically uncustomizable) costumes on Poptropica by way of the Avatar Studio Glitch, commonly known as ASG.

How to ASG

👕👉 The ASG can currently be performed using the ASG Machine created by idk. Enter the following into the tool:

  1. the username of the costume you want to clone (a list of usernames is found below — hover with your cursor to see their name),
  2. the username of the account you want to copy the costume onto, and
  3. the password of the account in step 2.

Don’t worry, your login information won’t be stored—it’s simply used to perform the ASG.

Important notes

  • This could also change your character’s gender if your gender is not the same as the ASG account.
  • In the case of the costume appearing on a new unsaved account instead of your own account, try doing this on a different web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox).
  • An ASG-able account (for those interested in making their own) must be wearing one of the following: jetpack from Early Poptropica, glider from Time Tangled, bowtie from Spy, or chameleon suit from Spy.

*Rare accounts for ASG are listed below with pictures. Check out the pictures to find something you like, then perform the ASG with the username corresponding to the account pictured to obtain the costume.

  • highSpeed_ASG allows you to run 30% faster on non-SUIs, and adds a cool little blurring motion, but does not work on SUIs (sound-updated islands).
  • WKF_ASG_AN-Princess includes fire hands as seen on the character from Monkey Wrench Island (not pictured in Avatar Studio).
  • PopASG16 can only be ASG’d on a SUI and the costume is not visible on Avatar Studio.
  • idk_customField_ASG – Just use the item card (it’s included with the ASG) and jump. You’ll have a forcefield of green, blue, and black!
  • special_booga_ASG is a special power that summons a bunch of Booga sharks. Like all ASGs, this still changes your costume.
  • idk_suiGlitch_ASG gives your character special glitch eyes (black with white pupils with red crosses). Only works on SUIs.
  • idk_suiGlitch2_ASG gives your character special glitch eyes (black with red pupils). Only works on SUIs.

    1. ASG the costume
    2. Go to MAP
    3. Type your username and password
    4. Set gender to 1 for boy, 0 for girl

    There’s a ton of asgs that begin with that and none of them seem to work for me, is there supposed to be an apostrophe?

  14. This might be too much to ask for because it’s rare that anyone helps me with any asgs, but can someone with the time, and someone who’s willing to help make asgs of the
    “Galactic Hot Dogs Glories” ASGs because apparently for some people the asgs work but for me on all my devices and browsers the asgs with apostrophes (‘) and colons (:) Dont work in the asg machine for me, when I attempt them, the machine says:
    “ A script error has occurred. Details: InvalidCharacterError: The string contains invalid characters. “

    When I type everything correctly, so if someone can do so I would deeply, greatly appreciate it.

        But because it works for you can you do me a favor of making an asg of:

        That doesn’t contain ( ‘ and : ) because that’s the problem

  26. I made an ASG for KBR_HatBandASG because it doesn’t work anymore. The only difference is the shirt and the pants (couldn’t find it, sorry). The other items such as the hat and bandana are the same, including the color of the skin and hair. The new ASG is called Pork5

  27. Can someone make an ASG for grand-guy-1 ? I tried asg-ing the Shrink Ray Assassin and the Back Lot Gorilla but it just replaces the hat and bandana with the gorilla head.

  28. I got logged out of my account and I was about to comment if someone could make an ASG for grand-guy-1 since it isn’t ASG-able and dummies don’t work anymore. I tried asg-ing Shrink Ray Assassin and the Back Lot Gorilla but the gorilla head just replaces the hat and bandana (I saved the gorilla costume first, then asg-ed the assassin, then went to closet and when I equip the head, it replaces the bandana and hat). So if anyone can make an ASG of grand-guy-1, that would be helpful

        How exactly? The colorizer only lets you pick skin and hair. But the eye only lets you pick ids…

  30. SlantedFish, do you know how to use poptropica.com/avatarParts/overpants/avatar_overpants_drhare_cuusoo_shadow.swf or other swf files in MaP? I tried everything but it doesn’t work. It says you can use captcrawfish’s item, but that doesn’t also work… Any help from anyone would be great!

  35. I would really like there to be an asg made of the ferris wheel guy from Monster Carnival. His leather jacket was part of my daily look and now I don’t know how to get it.

Will you make the NPC from Astroknights an ASG as soon as you enter the palace to the king and queen he is the guy just standing there with a red shirt with 3 horizontal yellow lines on it.     1. Some of these ASGs don’t work with Haxe, particularly the more bizarre ones like card-carrying ASGs. It’s dependent on what clothing parts have been added from the Flash days to Poptropica’s current Haxe game.

      1. Card Collector was developed by Dangerous Icicle. You can find him on the PHC (our Discord chat server for ages 13+). But yes, the PHB doesn’t manage Card Collector.

  60. How do you create one of those costumes in the pictures? What I mean is, who are those people who are dressing up? Can anyone come up with a unique style and put it on here?

    1. Anyone can create an ASG account, which is one that needs to be wearing a specific ASG-making item, such as the Spy Island bow tie. Many people have shared their ASGs with us to include here. We’re happy to include ASGs that work and offer cool costumes we haven’t already listed, and we’re often updating this collection!

      5. Sorry, those four are the only ASG-enabling items. You can add them to an account using MAP — no need to get on the island itself.

      6. Do you happen to know the ID for one of those? It’s okay if not, I can keep looking.

      7. Yes, the Early Poptropica jetpack (one of the ASG-enabling parts) is a Pack clothing part with jet as the ID. You can use MAP to add it to your character.

    2. The thing about ad items and card collector is that back in 2019, pop deleted a lot of the older ad items. The Mavis costume is one of those, and the only ad items you can get are from september 2018+, and even then they are for members only. Hope this cleared it up!

    1. Unfortunately, the costumizer was removed before the release of Goofball Island. However, if you would like, I can use the piñata costume for an ASG. The only thing is that unless someone is really good at replicating the NPCs, it would not make sense for a section for one costume. If only there was a Quippy for Goofball, we could have at least five costumes there.

  85. Hello, it’s old Jonahpop (JP) back from the dead! I decided to come back to Poptropica. I’m trying to get the items from idk_chameleon_ASG and idk_LS_ASG, but it says you have to customize them from the friends list to get the items. Since customization is no longer a feature on the new game, how could I get these items? Let me know if you have any ideas, and thank you!

      1. I tried to ASG the costumes using the ASG Machine many times, and unfortunately it looks like they aren’t supported. I have a new idea though, I could try using the iPop software to copy the outfits onto my account (if the program is still running these days!) Thanks for replying so quickly though! This blog has always meant a lot to me, and it’s stayed incredible throughout the years. Can’t believe it’s pretty much still in shape these days! 🙂

  91. I wanna make my own ASGs to add to the website, but I don’t know how to anymore (I used to make some awhile back). There used to be a program where I could enter in items but it probably doesn’t work anymore. Do you know any ways to make one?

    1. You just make a account with the costume you want the ASG to wear, add the Jetpack from Early Poptropica, the grappling bow tie from Spy Island, or the glider from Time Tangled. Then you can put the username in the ASG machine and test it out on a different account to make sure it works.

        I’m not sure how to do this though because of the new Poptropica. I don’t know how to get the costume parts (like from NPCs) since everything is so different now. I also don’t have a program to put the codes for the costume parts in to make the outfit. Is there any program you use?

On Poptropica-con episode one, where the Pizza puff stand is, there’s some NPCs that pass by, a lot of them where clothes from Skullduggery, Steamworks, and a few other old islands, you can customize them, but I’m extremely basic when it comes to glitching, so I only know my way around with the ASG machine and MAF (MAF is currently down, just so you know). I’m sorry, I’m not able to help you much.

      3. I will try, but I can’t guarantee how accurate it’s going to be, since I don’t know how to get the outfit parts without the island and the customizer.

      4. AS2 islands can’t be customized from without the MAP which is down. So unless someone was already wearing it it is impossible.

  94. Hi, I was curious, why does the MAP not work anymore. Whenever I use the links that are supposed to lead there I get a “404 error”, indicating that it no longer exists. Whoever made it, I was kind of hoping it would be fixed so we can make ASGs of other NPCs.

    1. An ASG-able account must be wearing one of the following: jetpack from Early Poptropica, glider from Time Tangled, bowtie from Spy, or chameleon suit from Spy. Unfortunately with the tool MAP (Make A Poptropican) down, there currently isn’t a way to get them.
