ASG gift

Our Avatar Studio Gift is a present to the Poptropica community, containing a compendium of usernames that will allow access to rare (typically uncustomizable) costumes on Poptropica by way of the Avatar Studio Glitch, commonly known as ASG.

How to ASG

👕👉 The ASG can currently be performed using the ASG Machine created by idk. Enter the following into the tool:

  1. the username of the costume you want to clone (a list of usernames is found below — hover with your cursor to see their name),
  2. the username of the account you want to copy the costume onto, and
  3. the password of the account in step 2.

Don’t worry, your login information won’t be stored—it’s simply used to perform the ASG.

Important notes

  • This could also change your character’s gender if your gender is not the same as the ASG account.
  • In the case of the costume appearing on a new unsaved account instead of your own account, try doing this on a different web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox).
  • An ASG-able account (for those interested in making their own) must be wearing one of the following: jetpack from Early Poptropica, glider from Time Tangled, bowtie from Spy, or chameleon suit from Spy.

*Rare accounts for ASG are listed below with pictures. Check out the pictures to find something you like, then perform the ASG with the username corresponding to the account pictured to obtain the costume.

  • highSpeed_ASG allows you to run 30% faster on non-SUIs, and adds a cool little blurring motion, but does not work on SUIs (sound-updated islands).
  • WKF_ASG_AN-Princess includes fire hands as seen on the character from Monkey Wrench Island (not pictured in Avatar Studio).
  • PopASG16 can only be ASG’d on a SUI and the costume is not visible on Avatar Studio.
  • idk_customField_ASG – Just use the item card (it’s included with the ASG) and jump. You’ll have a forcefield of green, blue, and black!
  • special_booga_ASG is a special power that summons a bunch of Booga sharks. Like all ASGs, this still changes your costume.
  • idk_suiGlitch_ASG gives your character special glitch eyes (black with white pupils with red crosses). Only works on SUIs.
  • idk_suiGlitch2_ASG gives your character special glitch eyes (black with red pupils). Only works on SUIs.
  • MidasTouchASG turns island NPCs and other players in common rooms gold. To use, click on the action button, then click on a character to give them the gold effect. It doesn’t work on yourself in Haxe.

  3. Yep, i’m sorry to announce that they patched the avatar studio glitch by the latest update on poptropica, now to get other items, one has to use POST requests by the help of a console, or a program such as iPop 😀

      2. all u have to do is open the asg at home island go to early poptropica then put in the name you want in the asg then refresh in early poptropica then u will ahve it on and then you need to press ctrl+shift+s then u have it your welcome 🙂

    2. That’s odd. I just tried the ASG now and it worked fine for me. Either one of two things are possible:
      -Poptropica didn’t update in Canada (That’s the country I live in)
      -The ASG avatar you chose specifically may not have worked

  5. Yeah, as Fishy said, Idk (A person nicknamed Idk), made an interactive online site which performs cloning on outfits bearing items invisible in the avatar studio, (like the jet pack), so the difficulty has been overcome 🙂 .

    Use the site https://asg.idkonpop.com/ to Clone one of these outfits from the list of usernames provided above in this page.

    Firstly enter the Username of the poptropican with the outfit you wish to bear, secondly enter the username of the poptropican you want bearing the outfit, followed by it’s password, and finally click the Submit button.

    If you’re already on poptropica, you have to login again to see the get the outfit 🙂

Hey Keith can you teach me how to save old ad items such as the kiloren lightsaber to my closet without membership. if i try to save an old ad item to my closet through going onto a sui island, item will not appear as you already know, so you need membership, but your account has managed this without it. and btw when i equipped the kilo ren sword through ipop it was validly seen on avatar studio but not in my characters hands,

  18. Thank you so much supersiu I accidentally changed my gender I tried to fix it with AS but that didn’t work luckily your asg machine did. One other thing… For the pop closet added you need the item id. How do you figure out the item id?

  19. Just one other thing no matter what I try I can’t get the outlaw gun. I can’t customize it off dummies such as tylermasteroutlawasg, I tried putting it into the pop closet added and putting the item id which is poutlaw_boys, and the avatar studio glitch thing using the machine by idk but nothing has worked. Is it possible to get it?

    3. my closet adder can only add costume to closet but cannot change your costume directly,if you want to change your gender , you can use a asg to change your gender back

    1. It still works sometimes but has been reported not to work on Windows 10 and up. If that’s the case, use one of the tools mentioned at the top of the page to customize from these ASG accounts.

  38. Hello, I was wondering if anyone can make a dummy holding the blue beowulf axe(I only want the axe). Because the ASG for that avatar is not working. Also another dummy for the “mystery of the map” axe that you can’t equip from your inventory.

  46. Hello, I am trying to make a Kratos god of war 4 skin, I just need something to mimic the red tattoo over his eye.The closest I found was “Sanyaku” red paint, but the problem is that the red paint replaces the beard I currently have on. Any ideas on what I can use?

    1. As far as I’m aware the closest you can get to a police pistol in Poptropica is laser tag guns from the Wimpy Boardwalk Island common room (could work great a taser instead). If I remember correctly, just grab one off the wall, go to your inventory, chew any popgum you have, then press ‘stop chewing’, and use the haunted house card to enter the haunted house side quest to save the gun as a permanent handheld. Here’s a video if you are confused:

  52. The Nutcracker ASGs don’t work. Other ASGs work fine for me but all of the Nutcracker ones are either glitched or were not made correctly. Bummer.

    2. Looks like it worked before, but looking at the accounts now in the Avatar studio, the creator of that asg probably tampered with them and, as a result, they no longer work.

      1. BTW poptr if you want the dogehead I have recustomized it however I am not sure how to make it stay. Keith also has it on his account so if you want to get it from him his account is
        keithsammut. however even with as much knowledge of computers as someone like me has I still have no idea how he managed to accomplish this. I used the java console’s network tab to get further information and it shows RequestURL:https://idkonpop.com/custom/doge.swf. so he used the tool red lizard made to get it but how he got it I still cant figure out.

      2. No need to convert to .swf just put the photo file on your webserver.Then connect it to your poptropican then it will work .check my account : supersiu

  61. I had a funny glitch happen to me on home island. Using “Marry Poppins Ballon Power” card (advertisement) by pressing spacebar, then hit customize on any NPC, then quickly exit the customize screen and press spacebar again. What happens is the characters in your screen move up twice, instead of once. You can keep doing this and the NPC’s will rise up very high in the sky.

  62. Another cool thing u can do on home island. Using the King Arthur’s Sword (advertisement) card, if you hold the run arrow and press spacebar, the animation will send you sliding across the floor. Or if u jump off a building and roll, hit spacebar, and the animation will roll you across the floor.

  67. so, I’m going to say this for people saying that you can’t access your friends anymore. what I do, is that I go to Early Poptropica; then go to the Store. I then go to friends in the up right hand corner to access your closets and other people’s closet. it still works. also, going onto Early Poptropica and cloning does work for me.

    1. I don’t think getting a poptropican without pupils is possible. The slenderman ASG just has its eyes closed and white skin, giving the illusion that he has no pupils.

  97. so, I have to report some great news! the avatar studio glitch works again! (actually using the avatar studio) idk what it is, but it works for me on wimpy boardwalk! This might be just for me, but the method broke a while ago. Now I use the same computer, and it works again!
    Tell me what you guys have to say about this. does it work again for you too? 🙂

    1. It sort of works for me.

      Whenever I do the glitch, it works, but when I enter an SUI it reverts back to my previous outfit. ALTHOUGH, there is a way to maintain the outfit you were trying to copy. And all you really do is simply go to an NPC, use the costumizer (I presume it works with costume cards as well if you’ve got any from the islands you’ve ventured), click “accept” and I believe that should work. (I’ve literaly only tried this once, so I hope this helps if anyone has the same problem.)

      1. yeah. that’s the only downer about the old glitch. you have to either change your skin tone, hair color, or just accept a outfit change with an NPC.

      2. You mean with the colorizer? The only way to access that is to go SUI.

        Not unless if you’re refering to those balloons in Early Pop. (That just takes me back when I had to run back an forth just to get the right skin tone 😆)

      3. If you press the combination of Ctrl + Shift + S,
        It will change your skin tone.

        Ctrl + Shift + H,
        will change your hair color. (non SUI only)

  99. Can somebody please fix Binary Bard? I’m looking everywhere for his ASG or costume, but not even the OFFICIAL BinaryBard account is dressed like him, just a hazmat suit.

    I have Windows 10 so idk if I can use iPop…

    1. It depends on what you want from binary bard if you want robot face then use NPC:Keith’sChristmasPresent for the robot eye and face. If you want the binarybard outfit your out of luck unless you can find a way.

  100. I’m not sure if this page is dead or not, but can anybody teach me how to get items to make ASG accounts?

    Do I have to open Developer Console and enter code to update my character or something?

    1. To make an account ASG-able, the character needs to be wearing one of the following: jetpack from Early Poptropica, glider from Time Tangled, bowtie from Spy, or chameleon suit from Spy.

      The costumes of the accounts listed on this page are obtained in a variety of ways: from islands, store, limited edition promos, etc. Some do involve some extra backend fiddling that I wouldn’t know how to do, but maybe others can share.
