ASG gift

Our Avatar Studio Gift is a present to the Poptropica community, containing a compendium of usernames that will allow access to rare (typically uncustomizable) costumes on Poptropica by way of the Avatar Studio Glitch, commonly known as ASG.

How to ASG

👕👉 The ASG can currently be performed using the ASG Machine created by idk. Enter the following into the tool:

  1. the username of the costume you want to clone (a list of usernames is found below — hover with your cursor to see their name),
  2. the username of the account you want to copy the costume onto, and
  3. the password of the account in step 2.

Don’t worry, your login information won’t be stored—it’s simply used to perform the ASG.

Important notes

  • This could also change your character’s gender if your gender is not the same as the ASG account.
  • In the case of the costume appearing on a new unsaved account instead of your own account, try doing this on a different web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox).
  • An ASG-able account (for those interested in making their own) must be wearing one of the following: jetpack from Early Poptropica, glider from Time Tangled, bowtie from Spy, or chameleon suit from Spy.

*Rare accounts for ASG are listed below with pictures. Check out the pictures to find something you like, then perform the ASG with the username corresponding to the account pictured to obtain the costume.

  • highSpeed_ASG allows you to run 30% faster on non-SUIs, and adds a cool little blurring motion, but does not work on SUIs (sound-updated islands).
  • WKF_ASG_AN-Princess includes fire hands as seen on the character from Monkey Wrench Island (not pictured in Avatar Studio).
  • PopASG16 can only be ASG’d on a SUI and the costume is not visible on Avatar Studio.
  • idk_customField_ASG – Just use the item card (it’s included with the ASG) and jump. You’ll have a forcefield of green, blue, and black!
  • special_booga_ASG is a special power that summons a bunch of Booga sharks. Like all ASGs, this still changes your costume.
  • idk_suiGlitch_ASG gives your character special glitch eyes (black with white pupils with red crosses). Only works on SUIs.
  • idk_suiGlitch2_ASG gives your character special glitch eyes (black with red pupils). Only works on SUIs.
  • MidasTouchASG turns island NPCs and other players in common rooms gold. To use, click on the action button, then click on a character to give them the gold effect. It doesn’t work on yourself in Haxe.

    4. I have a question when you enter the code and refresh sure your char changes but how do you change your chars to other characters like say You wanted part of another char’s body but don’t want the entire body what do you do?

      1. If you want only part of an ASG costume, unfortunately the only way is to do the ASG and get the full costume first. Then you can remove parts you don’t want and replace them to your liking.

      2. all you have to is save the costume in closest than get other one you wont go back to closest than just trash the one you got everything you wont from it you welcome

      3. You use the Costume Closet or your photos to save the ASG look. Then you ASG the other full costume, and customize the parts you want from costume 1, to costume 2.

        I really want the mermaid tail since, I have been playing poptropica from the day it came out (literally) and I am bored of legs.     5. There are many ways different hackers get their items. Sometimes, you can find glitches in the game, if you search hard enough. Those glitches lead to goods, for example the ASG (which you should know about!).

      There are many ways to get different outfits of characters you can’t usually customize, but lots of them are usually hidden or have been patched (fixed) by Poptropica, themselves.

    1. Thanks, but ASG accounts need to be wearing a jetpack for them to work. CountBramASG has a cape on, which means it probably doesn’t have the jetpack on. However, if it works, let me know. 🙂

      2. Well umm… it’s not just the jetpack they need to be wearing, for items on Poptropicans’ backs you can use the bowtie too.

      4. The Time Tangled hang glider, jetpack, and Spy Island bowtie all work. I think the Spy Island Chamelion Suit works too, I honestly don’t know. As long as you have one of those on, you will be ASG-able. 😉

      6. No, you don’t need to friend them. The whole point is that their costumes are uncostumizable, so you can’t costumize them anyway. To get the costumes, follow the steps to perform the Avatar Studio Glitch, outlined at the top of this page.

  20. Um..how do you refresh Poptropica (not the PAS) without it logging you out? Also, how do you refresh PAS without it also logging you out? Also, it isn’t prompting me to save a new character. SlantedFish, I need your all-knowing mighty brain to help me out, please! (BTW, the account I’m typing in on PAS is the hooded figure/magistrate, ghost_story2500.)

    1. I second that notion. I don’t quite understand the process. So I go into poptropica sign into my account, load the PAS in the next tab, copy and paste the rare account but dont??? hit load, refresh the poptropica tab, hit cancel, then hit load a bajillion times on the PAS tab, then I should have a little pop up asking me to save a new character in my actual poptropica tab? I can’t get it to work! Is there a specific part of the poptropica site I need to be on? (the map, an old level, a sound updated level, the store, my home screen, my account screen, my closet, aaaahhhh!) Should I be using a specific browser? How many times is a bunch?

    2. If it’s not on your account, try doing the steps with a different web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc). It shouldn’t prompt you to save a new character – the costume should appear on the account you were logged into. There isn’t really a specific part of Poptropica you should be on, just be somewhere in the game (like on an island) rather than other areas (so maybe not your closet). There’s no specific amount of times to refresh either; a couple times should do the trick. Click here for a video that shows how to perform the glitch.

  27. HELP! I am using an ASG name that works, but it switches accounts when I refresh the page. It becomes a completely new account with the glitched costume and I don’t know why that is happening. If you know what’s wrong, please reply ASAP.

U need to Log out m8 just turning potpropica makes you not log out and then happens glitches like those : 1) Open 2 tabs. 2) Log in your account with the 2 potpropica’s in the 2 tabs. 3) Press in one of the tabs Shift + Ctrl + R (to make yourself random). 4) Reload in the OTHER tab and u see urself with the costume u had in the 1st tab and see if the ASG will work again. If it doesnt work then try again. Im 100% sure it works

    1. I was having the same problem when these were released. I just waited a couple of days and tried again and it seemed to work just fine. Clearing your web cache may help also. 😛

    1. I don’t think so. If you use the Avatar Studio Glitch to get a girls’ outfit, but you are a boy, your Poptropican will turn into a girl. Same thing the other way around. I’m not 100% sure, though.

      1. What if you use ASG to turn into a boy, get the Jack Frost outfit, save it, and turn back into a girl? You could still customize it!

        The person who created JillFrostASG could create a new Boy account, use the same hack(or whatever it is) he used for Jill but could customize Jack Frost instead since he’s a boy, save the account under JackFrostASG or something like that?

    2. Yup, we use the same method to make the ASG accounts. Good news – we’ve added Jack Frost! Since he comes with several costume parts, we’ve split them into two accounts: JackFrost#1ASG and JackFrost#2ASG 🙂

      3. I saw that EXACT outfit in a person’s closet! His (yes it’s a HE, he must have swapped genders using the glitch at that stage) name is Lone Scorpion. I just randomly met him in a common room. He has 1963 friends (wooooooow….).

    2. Actually, the hair and the cape from that picture comes from the Vampire Countess Member’s Only Limited Edition. It is now unavailable. 😢

    5. the mouth from the picture comes from the girl in the pink komono you meet in the free Store game ‘Prepare for Impact’. The blush … there are countless places with blush girls. You can find one easily! 😃

      1. the bottom part of the dress in the picture comes from the shady-looking woman inside the mill on Astro-Knights, who gives you the password to the fountain entrance.

      2. also, the top fringe hair bit and right hair bang from the picture is from mavis1371, an ASG listed above. I hope this information helps you, Amelia, and helps find the files, fishy. I’ll try to find where the neckwear and top dress bit comes from. 😏

No problem, Red Lizard helped with informing me about the ASG. 🙂 Also, Medicine Man isn’t that rare since you can costumize most of him, with the exceptions being the grass skirt (which is an item on Shark Tooth Island) and spoon (which you can get from friends’ closets if it’s there – we have a section on handheld items on our Cheats page that includes the spoon). 😛
