Hello, everyone!

It’s Lucky Joker here, showcasing the wonderful works of MissEligon in another Pop Fan Artist Spotlight. MissEligon has won two art-related Poppies Awards with her “Danganronpa the Island” fan fiction (winner of the Poppies’ Best Fan Fiction in 2017) and her traditional visual piece, “Explore, Collect, Complete” (winner of the Poppies’ Best Fan Art in 2016). She’s gotta be a great artist, right? You bet!

Eligon credits her significant other, Criaha (another fantastic artist in the community!), for helping her with the anatomy in her drawings.

Here are a couple of tips for improvement with anatomy, as well as not letting people ruin your fun, from MissEligon herself:

If you ever want to create a character who has pink hair, is dating a canon character, is a child of a canon character, or other characteristics that makes people call them “Mary-sues” [i.e. generic], ignore those people—you’re only having fun with your ships or headcanons.

Also, if you want to improve your art, try searching up some anatomy tutorials and take inspirations from the many sources you love. The entire point is to keep on having fun and not let people ruin your fun.

It’s Lucky Joker here with another Pop Fan Artist Spotlight! Previously, I showcased the amazing art of BlazingAngel123 and treesareredinautumn. The featured artist this time around is ANNE14TCO, or more simply known as Anne.

Anne predominantly creates digital art of her OCs but also writes about them in her “The Chosen Ones” fan fiction and does animation.

Anne is known for using many cool special effects in her art which, in my opinion, adds a magical quality to her already phenomenal illustrations. It really makes you feel like you could dive right into her drawings, which I love!

Anne says she may pursue a career in any field in the arts whether that be a songwriter or a movie animator. I know she’ll do a wonderful job with whatever she decides to do. 😉

If anyone’s curious to know which software programs Anne uses to create her stunning masterpieces, she mostly uses Paint Tool Sai but also uses MediBang, FireAlpaca, Microsoft Paint, Photoshop, and Adobe Flash/Animate.

It’s Lucky Joker here featuring another Poptropica fan’s artwork in another Pop Fan Artist Spotlight! Last time, I showcased the amazing art of BlazingAngel123. The featured artist this time around is the one and only treesareredinautumn! (Best pseudonym ever, in my opinion. 😛 )

Treesareredinautumn has made tons of Poptropica art in the past, and though she admits that her Pop art is kind of old, it’s still worth a look. Her Poptropica-related artwork includes everything from portrait requests to large scenic illustrations—all of them truly sublime. To close off this post, here’s an insight from treesareredinautumn herself about her creative process:

It starts with an idea. Whether it be a fully fleshed out concept of the final, or simply the desire to draw something. This is followed by trying and failing to transmit the idea to paper, while coming up with new ideas along the way. My drawings never quite come out the way I expect them to, but that’s half the fun. When colouring I generally have to try several times before I get it right, but it’s worth the effort!

These posts showcase artwork from an individual Poptropica fan artist and invite you to check out their links, where you can view more of their art. It’s essentially a combination of our Poptropica Portfolio and Community Creations series. Let’s get into it!

To kick off the series, I’d like to feature the work of one of my personal favorite artists, BlazingAngel123, also known as Blaze.

Blaze is all about creating stunning Poptropica fan art in a signature cartoonish style, and also contributed to the ever so popular “Danganronpa the Island“ fan fiction by MissEligon (which won the Best Fan Fiction award in last year’s Poppies!).

Blaze says her proudest piece to date is “The True Mastermind,” because it shows how much she’s improved over the years.

Believe it or not, Blaze says she started drawing since she was only eight years old using just crayons and papers, then drawing with MS Paint, to now creating her stunning visuals using her trusty tablet and other computer programs. She also says that she started drawing after being inspired off of cartoons and anime she used to watch. Neato!

Blaze isn’t taking requests or doing art trades at the moment. However, you can still browse her gallery of works on her DeviantArt page if you’re wanting to see more awesome art. Trust me, there’s lots of great stuff there!

To finish off this artist spotlight, here’s a word of advice from the artist to other aspiring artists out there:

My advice to any artist is that keep your chin up and keep going at it! If you feel unhappy with your art, try something new! Don’t be afraid to experiment, and check out references for poses, clothing and other things believe me it helps a lot!
