Last Legendary Tribes!

Last but not least, the Creators have revealed two more of the tribes – in addition to the 5 shown this past week – to compete in the Poptropolis Games, making a total of eight victory-inspired tribes!

Please welcome:

Wildfire

Winning a competition as tough as the Poptropolis Games takes more than talent. It takes a burning desire to win. Do you have the fiery passion to join the Wildfire?

It certainly does seem to be “the hottest of them all,” because a quick poll on the PCB sidebar reveals that 45% of all voters have expressed interest in this tribe the most! The Seraphim tribe comes second at only 17%, and all the others have less than 10% of the total votes each.

Are you lost in not knowing which one to pick? Try…

Pathfinders

There’s only one route to the gold medal, and this tribe thinks they know which way to go. Maybe you’ll help them get there!

Also, more big news– the Legendary Swords mini quest is now completely FREE! Previously, it was free+, meaning that everyone could play up until a certain point, where you would need membership to continue.

Now nonmembers who have been dying to get in some more kills can rejoice! Get this adventure pack in the Poptropica Store, and if you need further tips after that step, the PHB has a guide written by our very own Brave Tomato! Click here to read it.

So, which of the eight tribes do you like most? Let us know in the comments! I personally like the Flying Squid tribe. 🙂

Counterfeit Island, Uncategorized

Munch on this!

The Creators recently mentioned on their blog that the painting “The Scream,” which plays a big role on Counterfeit Island, sold for a record $120 million dollars! Gotta scream with joy at that.

There should be a lame joke about munching somewhere, but the Norwegian name is really pronounced “moonk.” Hehe. 😛

On the subject of interesting art, did you know that this painting shown below, by Russian artist Malevich, sold for a million dollars?

Black Square (1913)

Yup. Really. What do you think?

Poptropolis Games Island, Snapshot Series, Twisted Thicket Island

Happy Poptropolis Games & may the odds be ever in your favor

There’s been a lot of hype lately about the next island, the Poptropolis Games! Who’s excited? I know I am! Before we jump into the Games, though, the Creators have announced that Twisted Thicket Island will be available to everyone on Wednesday, May 2nd.

And for those too lazy to check the Daily Pop, PHB commenter legodirectorfilms shared with us a compilation of pics for the upcoming Olympic-themed island:

The PHB’s Discussion Page for the Poptropolis Games is also up! Check it out here.

In other news, for the first time ever, the Creators are showing us fan art they received from a Poptropican called Super Sky!

Looking good there! Which reminds me, the PHB has a guide on How To Draw a Poptropican if you’re interested in trying it out. 🙂

And now…

Monster Carnival Island, Uncategorized

Poptropica “nose” best!

Starting next week, your Poptropican may find a new anatomical feature sprouting…

Seeing as they look somewhat ugly, it’s most likely a joke. Why else would they post on April 1st? It’s also one of those rare times the PCB has made a Sunday post. 🙂

Not since the introduction of the Costumizer or the removal of the Monster Carnival map icon have we made an update this momentous.

Did you catch that nod in the direction of Monster Carnival? That was an island that appeared on the map as “Coming soon” many years ago, but mysteriously disappeared just to be replaced with 24 Carrot Island. This may be the first time the Creators have actually acknowledged it.

Now necks, on the other hand, may be a better innovation… gotta have something to connect the pyknic ovals together.
