It’s been a while since I’ve participated in a poppies event (mostly because I’ve fallen off of poptropica a couple years ago when poptropica itself was falling off). I think I’m down to join the party when the time comes.
Question: since I haven’t played poptropica in years, do accounts get expired after a certain amount of time?
I think accounts expire after 6 months after not being used.
Welcome back! 🥳 Poptropica has claimed that before in their FAQ, but sometimes it’s not the case and players have reported still being able to access their accounts after years of inactivity. So you can try your luck!

Hey! I’ve been checking out this blog a lot recently. I already voted, but this isnt about that. I had a (slight) idea on how we can get profesional help to bring the poptropica website back to being active. Recently, I wrote to Jeff Kinney himself. I spoke about what has happened to the game recently, and i tossed in some stuff I thought could get his mind thinking. I wrote “If you could dream up the childhood of millions while mowing your lawn, Imagine what those kids grown up could do with your help”. My idea was that if more people write letters, he might try to do something about it. I just want poptropica back!!!

Thanks for your support, Lucky Fish! Jeff Kinney definitely has some awareness of the game’s legacy and current state (here’s a reflection he shared in an interview just last year), but he’s stepped down from working on the game quite a while ago (as acknowledged in a 2020 interview with Poptropica’s CEO). Still, more letters certainly wouldn’t hurt to let him know what an impact Poptropica has made and maybe inspire him to do something about it if he has the means! 😄
