Hey Poptropicans! Before I begin, a quick note: you’ve known me as Silver Sword, but unfortunately, I lost my account, so I’m using another one: Shy Wing. In memory of my old account, I will sign off as “Shy Wing/Silver Sword.” 🦋⚔️ Now let’s dive into the next part of the tale!
(Start from the prologue, or continue from Case Three)
ANNA (whispering): “Shhhh! I don’t want the thief to know I’m here!”
DARK, MYSTERIOUS VOICE: “Too late now! My prisoner has helpfully pointed you out to me. You may have actually come in use for me, Axe!”
TINY AXE: “I…HATE…YOU!”
ANNA: “What do you even want her for?!”
DARK, MYSTERIOUS VOICE: “I ask her every day, for her first name, but she always says she hates me, like it’s all she can say! But you, little girl, can tell me your name, and I will let Axe free.”
Anna thought the bargain was pretty easy to fulfill, but she didn’t tell the man her name. There had to be a hard side to this kind of easy.
ANNA: “Why do you want our names?”
DARK, MYSTERIOUS VOICE: “Because I must know everyone’s names in all of Poptropica, so I know which people who to keep and who not to keep, before I TAKE OVER THE WORLD!”
Suddenly it dawned on Anna who this mysterious man was. In fact he wasn’t even mysterious. Or a man*.
ANNA (shouting): “ZEUS!?”
ANNA: “Anna. My name is Anna Gram, and that is—”
Anna is cut off by Tiny.
TINY AXE: “Anna no! Don’t tell him my name! There’s got to be something else this guy is hiding.”
ANNA: “You mean this guy is worse? He’s already taking innocent Poptropicans captive, plotting to take over the world, and capturing arms! Zeus cannot get any worse. Trust me, I got this.”
Tiny Axe slowly nods, thinking about what Anna’s plan might be.
ANNA: “Sorry, sir, her name is, uhhhh, what’s your name again? Hmmmm. Messy? Colourful? Darn, can’t think of it, sorry.”
ZEUS: “Maybe I can help you remember. Let’s see. There’s Bronze, Magic, Friendly, Silver, Shy, Gentle, Spotted, Sporty…”
Zeus goes on and on about maybe all the names in Poptropica. Anna takes it as a distraction and snatches Zeus’ lightning staff right out of his hands. He doesn’t even notice, just keeps going on about first names. He even starts making things up. Anna charges toward the web, but stops ten feet away. She realizes that Tiny and Wild’s arm are roped onto a statue of Zeus.
There are three other statues beside them. Zeus is on his throne, staring up at the ceiling, still going on about names, but suddenly, Anna can’t hear him anymore.
ANNA (unsteadily): “Mount Olympus? I think I’m hallucinating…”
Anna drops to the ground, and her eyes flutter shut.
TINY AXE (shouting, eyes full of tears): “SHE CAME HERE FOR ME! SHE DIDN’T KNOW ME AT ALL, BUT SHE CAME TO SAVE ME ANYWAY! ZEUS, SAVE HER! I’LL TELL YOU MY NAME, I’LL DO ANYTHING, JUST SAVE HER!”
ZEUS: “No need to get dramatic, just tell me your name.”
TINY AXE (determinedly): “It’s Axe.”
She pulls her hands and feet apart, and the rope snaps.
TINY AXE: “Tiny Axe!”
She yanks the staff out of Anna’s hand and points it at Zeus. The god gets smaller and smaller, until he is an old man again.
ZEUS, WHO IS NOT A GOD ANYMORE: “I guess I should tell you my name. It’s Hyper Shark.”
He skydives out of the room. Tiny rushes over to Anna, who wakes up.
TINY AXE: “You OK?”
ANNA (laughing): “It was fake! Now let’s shatter this thing!”
Anna grabs the other side of the staff, and the two shatter it.
TINY: “Ready to go?”
Anna nods. They jump through the portal, and it closes.
HAPPILY EVER AFTER…
