Home Island

There’s no place like (a new) home…

How’s it going, Poptropicans? It’s Lucky Joker here!

Remember those sneak peeks we got back in July… you know, the Home Island makeover ones? If you don’t, let me refresh your memory—Poptropica posted two sketches of what appeared to be a new Home Island design on the Creators’ Blog, and later on—a more finalized version. Here they are below:

Well, it doesn’t end there! This weekend Poptropica took to Instagram to show yet another Home Island sneak peek!

In the screenshot, we see a colorful rocket ship with a small door underneath covered in tape with the words ‘coming soon’. Can you imagine if this rocket becomes our new source of transportation instead of the iconic blimp?

To the left, we also see a small building with the same tape on it. Up top, there’s a sign that says ‘fun’ with an arrow pointing up. I wonder what could be so fun up there…maybe a new mini game? What do you guys think?

In other news regarding Home Island, the daily spin wheel that is usually inside the movie theater is no longer there.

missing wheel

According to idk, a glitcher who frequents the PHC, Poptropica is planning to move the wheel to a different spot, which is why it’s not available at this time. What’s going on, creators?

I also wanted to share one last thing with you guys. Over on Twitter, Jessica (formerly known as Skinny Moon in the Pop community, whom we miss dearly!) shared this cool illustration of Oliver flossing drawn by her 8-year-old nephew Brody S., who’s a new fan of Poptropica! How cute is that?

And that’s all the news for today! Thanks for reading, and talk you guys soon!

  1. This is pretty neat stuff here, and here’re my other thoughts:

I’ve no clue what the rocket is gonna be, but the small building that says ‘fun’ might be an extra commen room, maybe..?

And for the wheel, they might move it in a more practical place, or it might get replaced with some other thing to gain credz.

What's popping, Poptropicans?
