Poptropica has just announced that they will soon be releasing their new iPad app, where you will get to play the actual online version of Poptropica (with music) on iOS!
That’s pretty big. In addition to their coalition of apps on mobile devices (Tips and Tricks, Forgotten Islands), they finally add an app where you can play the actual game! That’s soo cool! 😀 Also, it’s nice to see that some of the SUIs (Time Tangled and 24 Carrot) will be pre-loaded. And according to the Creators, “Soon after, you’ll be able to download the bigger and better editions of more classic Islands — not to mention all-new Islands like Survival!”

We don’t know whether it’ll be free, but don’t count on it, since even the Forgotten Islands app was US$4.99 when it was released (the lowest it’s been was 99 cents, which personally I think is more reasonable). But maybe the Creators will prove me wrong. 😛

Darn, I have a Kindle. I wonder if they’ll also release it for Kindle.
Hopefully it’ll be better than the DS game. That… didn’t really meet my expectations.
This sounds like a fun app, but I don’t think I can download it on my iPad because i don’t want to take up too much space.

Hey, I just thought of something…Do you think that in the app you have a few islands to start with and then you have to buy the rest of the islands?? Because if that`s the case, it would be really annoying.
