This post is dedicated to release dates of Poptropica… you may find it boring. 😉
I don’t know about you, but I’ve always felt like Poptropica had two teams of people making islands at one point. In my opinion, back in the olden days (like a couple years ago) when Poptropica was making islands like they were out of style, there was a sort of pattern in the island releases.
It started with Shrink Ray island. Even though I like it, it still isn’t a great island. Then Mystery Train (good), Game Show (bad), Ghost Story (good), S.O.S. (bad), Vampire’s Curse (good), Twisted Thicket (bad)… of course, this is purely my opinion.
I’ll stop judging after that, because the pattern is inconsistent afterwards. What do you think about my theory?
Here’s a nice piece of information: most of the old islands have already been remodeled. How do I know? Check out this xml file. It is a list of all the islands that have been updated: http://static.poptropica.com/game/data/game/game.xml
That’s a lot of islands. And they’re not all on there, so it isn’t just a list of islands to be updated. Do you remember my failed prediction that Spy Island would be the next updated? I made the prediction because the island, as far as I could tell, had already been uploaded. Basically, what I’m saying is, we might be able to track the Creator’s schedule of releasing these SUIs.
Time Tangled was announced to be the next updated November 20, and was released December 10. That’s a 30 day period in between there. Coincidence? I think not.
Thirty days from the time Mythology Island was announced to be updated would be February 7. I might be wrong, but expect it to be that day. And Creators, if you choose to change the date just to prove me wrong, I respect that. 😛

There are four different language settings to choose from! From what I can tell, it isn’t a released feature yet, but this sure is cool! 😀

I wonder what that magnifying glass in the bottom left is. It’s shaking, like the “cancel” button, which makes me think it’s also a button. Could we be zooming in on our character? And what could that target in the bottom right be? o.O
Cool! The zooming in thing is probably where you zoom in to click on part of the costume u want, sometimes it’s hard to click what u want.
new release: poptropica labs! a new feature that is yet again, members only. a new feature that cost money. a new feature that is making the poptropica creators more like the people that they admitted are horrible in mocktropica island. recent;y theyve been implementing more ads, more everything. i really want to send a complaint to poptropica. anyways heres the wonderful thingy ma-gig that non-members get:

I find it as another sort of ad that poptropica put on, for more money… i can see poptropica slowly morphing into what they wanted to avoid this entire time… being like mocktropica

You’re not missing out on much. It’s not that great in my opinion. You’re literally just raising and lowering land and building stuff on it to make it look nice. If we were making islands with quests, that would be amazing, but we’re not. 😦

And the gold thing is really annoying. If you run out of gold while building something, you have to blow up the land to get down to find gold. Me no likey.
I wonder what “testIsland” and “examples” are…
Those are actually for the labs! 😀 Well, not examples, but the testIsland is. 😛
So that probably means labs won’t stay in the small screen.
