Just wanted to warn everyone of yet again ANOTHER new ad unit on Poptropica: Video Ads.
These new ads pop up between pages. You can skip them, but it’s a major annoyance. Nameless has started a petition to stop these ads, which you can view here. Please sign the petition; we need lots of votes to make a difference!
However, do recognize that ads help generate money that Poptropica needs to run, so watching these ads is one way you can support the game. Further still, the only ad that is currently running would be Galactic Hot Dogs, which they own. For some users, the ads can be laggy. They create a barrier, and I just hope they won’t lose any players by this…

Guys I really don’t think this is a good idea. They are doing it for a reason. They need the money. No money = no Poptropica. If they get a whole bunch of complaints and remove it, then Poptropica will be in trouble.
They should put the ads on each of side the game instead.

Oh no, we’re heading towards annoying updates! Before you know it we will have to pay for anything in Popcoins.
I agree, they’re putting those ads up because they need more money, to improve poptropica, plus if you don’t like ads just download ad blocker.
Ad blocker sadly doesn’t block these ads because they are inside the game… 😦

but still, I think Poptropica needs the money, But I don’t think they should do it this way. I know, maybe they should make it if you’re a non-member you get ads, but if you get membership you don’t get the ads! 😉 maybe they should try making it like that. But still that would be really annoying…
They need to come up with another, better ad unit. I still don’t see why they don’t get enough money already, but this new ad system is not the way to make more money. All they’re really doing is losing players by this.
Exactly… They aren’t making any money from THESE ads, because they OWN what they’re advertising, and it’s FREE (What they’re advertising)… So they’re not getting PAID to Advertise this….
You still don’t see? Poptropica is losing players. Their earlier island tours had millions of views with lots of likes. Now they have few with 50% dislikes. Everyone is going to stupid CP and Minecraft. 😦

I don’t really have much of a problem with the ads. The only thing Pop HQ ever advertise is cereal and books, right?
The problem for me, the reason I started my petition, is they’re REALLY Laggy, and it’s for a product they OWN and don’t make money from… It’s a waste of advertisement ;P
They have advertised movies not this new one but yeah and TV shows just the new one is different

Listen, I get that you guys are trying to “take down ads”, but do you think that Poptropica owners really make that much money? Probably not, because believe it or not, your parents probably make a better salary than these people. There are only a couple things that earns them money: membership, credits, and advertisements. They get paid for advertisements, so they can also feed themselves and their families, and pay rent, and also help out with additions to Poptropica. This is probably one of their only shots for advertisements and you guys think your “cool” and want to take a stand to stop this. What I believe, is that you should all live with it, and if you cant, you might as well quit Poptropica. Because if this little thing bothers you to even start a petition, how selfish are you guys? Thanks for listening.
Most of these people have other jobs. A lot of them are developers, authors, and etc. Poptropica is not their whole career. And I don’t think that I’m cool for trying to take down the ads. I just want to prove to the Creators that this new ad unit is not the way to go. Thanks for listening.
Please, just try to understand why you guys need to live with something that annoying, and move past it.
These ads are a problem for me. Almost every time I go to a new screen on Mocktropica, a video ad appears and I click skip ad next I have to log out and back in.😡😡😡😡
