We know it’s been a long time coming. We know you’ve been patient. We know we’ve promised a lot. And we’ve been working around the clock to make sure we can deliver on those promises. Now, we’re very happy to say that Early Access to Virus Hunter Island will be available this week!
It’s the biggest, wildest Poptropica adventure we’ve ever made. It’s got a bigger screen, music and sound effects, and an epic storyline. We’re very proud of Virus Hunter Island, and we can’t wait until you can play it.
We’ll let you know exactly when Virus Hunter Island is available. Keep checking back!
A lot of Poptropicans are probably sighing in relief right now. We waited four months for Virus Hunter Island, and it’s finally coming out this week! Although he doesn’t say exactly when next week, it is likely that it’ll release on Thursday, August 29, considering Poptropica tends to release their islands on a Thursday.
Anyways, the map has changed up a bit, with two of the island icons colored: Virus Hunter and 24 Carrot Island. This indicates that these islands have been affected by Poptropica’s new larger screen and soundtrack format… which means 24 Carrot Island’s new format is now available for the public! Members can now play as their own Poptropicans with the new format!
(UPDATE: The improved 24 Carrot Island is now open to everyone!)
Do you think Virus Hunter Island will be worth the wait? I hope so.

I am stuck on 24 Carrot Island. My blimp won’t work!! 😦 I tried to use the PopTransport but I didn’t see anything pop up that I could use. (No pun intended.) I blame Strange Cat. He told me to enter 24 Carrot and I got stuck there. >:-(

The last time I was on 24 Carrot Island, the format still looked the same to me. I even replayed the island just so I could find what was different about the island since the island icon was colored. I don’t know, maybe it’s just me.
I am excited about Virus Hunter! I’ll probably still have time to try out the island promo(if they have it) because I don’t start school for another 2 weeks! 😀

Yes. Right now, the new features are still kind of… glitchy. The characters aren’t running smoothly at all, and I was stuck in 24 Carrot for a couple of days. Luckily, if I hadn’t emailed the Creators, I wouldn’t have logged in to find myself in Shark Tooth Island! So I bet sound will be released to Non Members once Virus Hunter comes out to everyone.
You’re right I’ve been stuck on 24 Carrot for days, and I was just playing poptropica, I used the beverage/hair effect, now my poptropican’s eyes are stuck closed, and my mouth is shaped like an O.>:( (The mouth should be easy to fix, but I’m probably gonna need some advice about the eyes.) PLEASE HELP, ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apparently nothing about my poptropican is fixed, and whenever I leave 24 Carrot I don’t have membership, I don’t have a saved game, I don’t have any friends, I don’t have any items, and I don’t have any credits. This sucks. 😦
I have an idea! What if the PHB held a Virus Hunter Contest. Once it’s released for members, they can submit their times of finishing. I have a good stopwatch that everyone should use to make it fair. http://www.online-stopwatch.com/full-screen-stopwatch/ And you could check to see if they’re cheating by looking on the Top 1,000 Finishers thing. You could decide the prizes. What do you think?
Interesting idea! Depends on how the Virus Hunter champion map will work, though, and if it’ll be easy to track. 😛

No offence guys,but I don’t want VHI to be like BETA Carrotene I mean,imagine it being glitchy,and if something happens to it and you reload,you have to start the whole island again.And there’s something fishy about navigation too…

The thing is Virus Hunter is made to be updated with the new format, while 24 Carrot wasn’t…

Me too! Ever since the comments have been turned off, I haven’t been going there lately. Without the comments, I felt like the site was… dead to me.
I know that’s a horrible thing to say, but the primary reason I kept on going there were the comments. I always looked forward to going because of that. There’s were always so much buzz going on. I hope FM turns on the comments again soon. 😦

It’s still glitchy, though.
My bow and arrows keep shooting and my mouth is like that big grin.
And sometimes only your mouth, arms and legs are showing.
I finished it a while ago. I’m gonna have to get accustomed to the new format if the creators might do it to the rest of the islands.
I think this island might be hard with the fact that they worked on it for almost five months. But that might be because of the sound and stuff.

Before you go in there, you have to go in the video rental place and show the guy your ID badge and he’ll let you in the staff only place, from there you have to do what the people tell you. Eventually, you will need to go to the falafel place and talk to the guy and then he’ll leave the gate open for you to go into the globoclem place 🙂 hope it helped
How do I locate Patient Zero?
You go to the knaves something place, look in the rubbish bin and it’ll give you a clue, then you talk to the falafel guy

That’s the thing. About the new 24 Carrot Island. I have to redo the island again and I’m stuck with the rabbit ears. It won’t let me put it on! And yes, I already restarted the island, but it still won’t let me put it on. I go through the trapdoor every time! Anybody knows what’s going on?
My poptropican’s eyes are stuck closed as well, and I don’t have access to my costumes in Virus Hunter. I really hope they don’t decide to change it to this because it’s harder to get to things and it takes longer to do things (things that you often need, such as your inventory). I don’t think I’m going to end up continuing to play if they maintain this format.
