Last week we posted about a sign that read “Cryptids Island Coming Soon” that appeared for a while on the Poptropica homepage, but mysteriously disappeared. Loud Shark even took a picture for us. But now the Poptropica Creators are trying to mess with our minds!
The creators must have found our secret database. They are stating accusations! Captain Crawfish addressed this issue on the PCB today, saying:

There are rumors that a new Poptropica Island was announced on the Poptropica homepage last week, only to disappear. Like some kind of mythical beast vanishing into the fog, it was there one minute, and gone the next.
Eyewitness accounts can be unreliable. Scientists have yet to prove the existence of the next Poptropica Island. The whole thing could be a hoax.
Did you see it? Was it real? Was the next Poptropica Island truly revealed?
The truth is out there.

Wow! You took this news much calmer than I did! On my blog, I kinda panicked when ibsaw that. LOL. Anyway, I do hope that the island is not a hoax.

I saw it last night. At almost 9:00 I logged on just one last time, and there it was. I kept clicking on it, and a page popped up that said, “Sorry. This page is open.” Weird, huh?
What did they mean by “open?”

I somehow notice that Cryptids are unproven, while this island is too. Very Interesting…
Of course this is probably more proof to itbeing real if A. the creators blog is posting about it, B. POSSIBLY, They could just be making a joke with those who know of the island, and a CLUE or those who don’t…
It’s probably real……….but they would probably change the name like that other dude said.
If you ask my, I think that the new island has something to do with the new monster costumes. I think it’s to make up for Monster Island.
Saw it last night for 1 minute! I also saw it on the map for less than 1 minute. It was open too! I clicked on it(what poptropica player wouldn’t) and it said “Sorry, poptropica is having trouble loading” or something like that. I should have taken a pic.
It’s obious what happend! They are trying to say that you MADE those pictures and there won’t be no new island, that what you posted is a LIE, because Cyrptids Island was supposed to be a SURPRISE.
You can get conclusions with that…

wow look at the wording in crawfish’s comments. those are exact but slightly the most commonly used sentences in disclaimers for monster sightings and other things
I think it’s kinda like when a buddy scares you then say’s “Ya should’ve seen the look on your face!”. Yup, the creators are prob’ly doing that.
I hope they don’t Cancel Cryptids island just like they did with Rtv.

I don’t think it’s a change of name, or second thoughts, or a joke. It’s just proving it’s more real. After all, what better way to advertise CRYPTIDS island than by posting that it exists, vanishing the post, and then confusing people of weather it exists or not. They’re not changing it at all. They’re just using vanishing posts to advertise it. Notice how he said “Eyewitness accounts can be unreliable. Scientists have yet to prove the existence of…” and “Like some kind of mythical beast vanishing into the fog, it was there one minute, and gone the next. The fact that they are advertising it so much proves it’s existence.
Creators….. sheesh!
I think they are taking monster carnival and renovating the scraps of what they had before they cancelled it.

i know it’s real, i saw it. don’t you think it’s weird how many things happen on “accident” or something like this here was just probly teasing us. this wasn’t an accident or something, you really think they changes the poptropica main screen coding island preview picture location on accident? thats pretty hard to do, That replay island button, that one could have been an accident but probly them showing us whats to come. I don’t think there are any accidents in poptropica. i think theyre just giving us things to do and think about between islands and advertisements bcus besides that there isnt much for us to do

Looking at previous posts, I believe that we might be going monster-hunting in our next island!
We should break out our monster hunting gear like, boots, flashlights, pretzels, and safari hats.
maybe some irishmen are off to find the famous nessie and in the end you get a medal for taking a picture or saving or capturing the loch ness. or for all we know we need to travel worldwide to crack each cryptic case cause cryptic seems too broad for one monster
CRYPTIDS Island is DEFINITELY coming out. You want to know how I know? Because they tagged it ‘new islands’ on the PCB!
Wow… “The truth is out there”. If that’s not a direct X-Files reference, I don’t know what is! It looks cool, though. I just hope it isn’t a complete flop–or a joke, as you suggested. I take the paranormal and “mythological” (insert quote because–contradicting the name–they ARE real) very seriously.
