Creators' Blog Post: "At the Station"

Seriously Dr.Hare? I mean you really can’t talk about going to jail, you’ve been there yourself at least 10 times.

“I’m talking to the, man in the mirror! I’m askin’ him to change his ways!” XD

Anyway, back to the post. Isn’t that the kid from the Fuel Up Ad, minus the “UGH-OUR-SCHOOL-MENU-SUCKS” mouth? Just an observation. =D

This post is obviously referring to the infamous Counterfeit Island. Here’s what PHF member Shaggy Tornado had to say about it, and I agree:

i think i know what the plot is about! A thief stole a painting and left a forgery, a counterfeit (hence the name) and u have to look for the painting and the thief!

Sounds possible, right? But of course, there’d be lots of other things in the plot, not just what Shaggy thought. I think that Master Mime is the head honcho of some huge counterfeit operations, and we’ll have to take him down.

Creators' Blog Post "Now this is what I call art!"

In this other Counterfeit Island Sneak Peak from the Bard, we can obviously tell that:

  1. The Bard is inside an art museum
  2. The picture in the frame is obviously not the one that’s really there
    in Counterfeit Island
  3. This sneak peak further proves the “stolen painting” plot, stated above

The Binary translates to “The Scream”, a painting by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch.

Also, has anyone noticed that the Creators are posting ALOT? I mean did their free time just double or something?

New Poptropica Ad: "Night at the Museum 2"

OK, first of all: WHY WOULD ANYONE, IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WANT TO RE-ASSEMBLE A DINOSAUR? They’d have to have a death wish. “Oh thanks for putting me back together…I’ll just skip to the end of this and eat you.”

The goal of this ad is to find all of Rex’s Bones and re-assemble him. Once you do that, you get an awesome “Museum Guard” outfit, and Rex gets dinner. Works out for both of us, right? 🙂

S0me of you may remember how in my previous post I talked about finding a flashlight. When I posted about that on the PHF, member Serious Glove guessed that the flashlight would be apart of this ad! Congrats SG!

Before I end this post, I wanna say that I’ll be modifying The Poptroportex to include this ad!

      1. Well, they didnt advertise it like they are for this island.
        So it would be more of a dissapointment for them not to come through with this than RTV.

      2. I’m not much of an editor either. x) But MS Paint can do wonders. 😀

        Also, whoever wrote that in the jail cell must have been… high on something…

  8. Too interesting…Maybe Master Mime was a good mime at first,but people started hating mimes,and Master Mime became Master Mime!Then,he replaced everything in town with counterfeit ones to seek his revenge!YOU have to stop him!

  10. Hey, that’s kind of like 24 Carrot, with you having to find the villain and figure out how to stop his operation. I mean, Dr. Hare = Master Mime, and Stolen Carrots = Stolen Painting. I guess that’s kind of like Astro-Knights, too, with you finding the Binary Bard and getting the orb.

  12. I think this is how it might go:

    First, you arrive at the place. You head to the police station and they all look sad and stuff. You ask them Why. They say a villain has escaped and stole the painting.

    You think its like spy island or 24 carrot.

    Then, you head off to find the painting and villian. There are mini games the theif’s henchman challenge you to.

    After the obstacles, you see the theif. He is talking about riches. Sadly,he sees you and sends his hench men. Time for the chase! You reach the police station, finding the hench men are gone. The police ask you whats going on, but they dont believe you. So then you try to get proof, but again, the theif is guarded. They hit you and stuff, like in spy island.

    You eventually have to beat him, like in Astro Knights.

    Then the ending…I’m not sure. Maybe he’ll be in jail…

    Its like a mix of the most exciting islands!

  19. It’s been months since a new island, so I really hope this one comes out soon. Have you noticed that as the islands progress, they seem to get more challenging? The last island has been the most difficult by far, do you think Counterfeit Island will be even harder to complete than Astro Knights?

  22. i have figured it all out! ok someone is stealing all there paintings from there meuseum, that explains the meuseum currator and the police officer not wearing the normal police colors and call me crazy but this might all take place in France because France has famous art meuseums and explains all the frenchy theme

    1. Hmmm…. that is a good observation. You are right. Master Mime, that coffe and music shop, and the grape farm all seem frenchy. And you are right, there are lots of famous artwork in france. But there were no police in the picture. And I think, not that its right, but only one painting was stolen.

      1. No, I think that the place is in Italy because Italy was most famous during the Renisance(I have no idea how to spell it it!)But PawPtropica has a point because in mischief, the guy who’s mostly angry has an French accent.

  27. I looked up The Scream(because I’m a nerd like that) Wikipedia says that The Scream was stolen several times, 1994 and 2004. Maybe, someone else stole it this time, I guess in France, and left a counterfeit one and several clues so we could solve the case. But I thought The Scream was located in The Natural Gallery in Oslo…in Norway…not France…Whatever!

Hmmm…Here is my description of Counterfeit Island: You arrive on an Island and find everyone saying “The Scream has Been Stolen!!” After some investigating,you discover several suspects,including Master Mime. Now you have to search all over Counterfeit for clues to solve this Mystery! The Searching all Over Counterfeit part is from a PCB post LONG AGO. It was one of the French Island Sneak Peeks where it showed poptropicans biking there. Could it be possible that they are the same and The Creator’s just changed the idea from Bikes to Scooters? Chances are,thats correct.

  38. I tried using the flashlight from the Night at the Museum Ad in Time Tangled Island in that cave with the Vikings. Didn’t work well…it went out faster than the torch!
