Choosing your tribe for Poptropica is no small decision. You’ll fly your tribe’s colors in the Poptropolis Games! Each tribe also (once upon a time) came with an exclusive common room to be shared only with other members of the tribe.

There are eight tribes in Poptropica. Click on a name or icon to learn more about a tribe and its description, common room, and colors.

Support your favorite tribe in the comments, and don’t forget to help them win in the Poptropolis Games!

Winning a competition as tough as the Poptropolis Games takes more than talent. It takes a burning desire to win.

Usually when you call somebody “yellow,” you’re calling them a scaredy cat, but this tribe takes it as a compliment.

Feeling lost? There’s only one route to the gold medal, and this tribe thinks they know which way to go.

This tribe intends to plant the flag of victory in the heart of Poptropolis – and we suspect they’ll stop at nothing to do it!

The Nightcrawlers might look like pushovers, but they’re used to being used as bait. Watch out so they don’t hook you!

This tribe will rise and fall on the wings of their dreams. Maybe you can help them achieve such great heights!

Proving that good things come in small packages, the Nanobots are programmed for victory. Will you help them execute the gold-medal download?

How to choose (and change) your tribe

You can select your tribe by going to your personal profile on Poptropica. To do this, log in and and click on the Friends icon in the top right corner, which should look like your Poptropican’s face. Look for the box about your Tribe.

Tribes

TO CHOOSE: It should say “Tribes” if you haven’t selected one. Click on the box, and it will prompt you to choose one of the tribes. Don’t worry, you can change it later (see below).

TO CHANGE: If you already belong in a tribe, it will show your tribe’s emblem in the box. Click on it, then click on “Change Tribe” at the bottom of the pop-up to switch to a different tribe.

Also, when you start on the Poptropolis Games, you’ll be prompted to choose a tribe to represent if you haven’t already selected one. Once you make your decision, you’ll be given a jersey with your tribe’s colors on it.

Tribal Common Rooms

Once you’re part of a tribe, you can enter its exclusive common room, which is only open to the other members of the tribe! It’s bigger and better than the ones you’ll find on Main Street. To get in, click on your tribe’s logo, and click “Join Room.”

It’s a great way to meet and befriend new tribal mates. Each tribe’s room looks different and has some hidden interactive elements, which you can discover in the PHB’s pages about each tribe listed above!

        1.Wildfire-i love this tribe it’s the best of the best and love heat so go wildfire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
        2.Seraphim-love layout of the common room i’d join this tribe if couldn’t join wildfire
        3.nightcrawlers-the common room reminds me of one of my favorite wii games.
        4. black flags-love the pirate themed common room.
        5.flying squid- this isn’t good or bad it’s just kinda like eh
        6.nanobots- the name of this tribe says you love technology more than nature.
        7.yellow jackets- 2nd worst common room I’ve ever seen.
        8.pathfinders-WORST TRIBE EVER!!!!!! most boring common room ever and i just hate this tribe

    9. I’m going to decide on tribes depending on the best common room, so I’ll check all of them and decide. 😛

      Ok, here’s my reason of not picking these 7:
      Flying Squid- it doesn’t have many interactive things and I don’t like the theme as much.
      Wildfire- it was kind of too dark and I didn’t think the mechanical theme related to a fire.
      Yellowjackets- I loved the room but it was not my favorite.
      Blag Flags- I loved the interesting shipwreck theme but the thunder and darkness I didn’t enjoy.
      Nightcrawlers- I loved the cave theme similar to the MultiVerse room Crystal Cavern, but all the bugs everywhere including the giant spider in the corner kind of “bugged” me.
      Seraphim- did this remind anyone else too much of Harry Potter?
      Nanobots- I just didn’t like the lack of things to do.

      The winner- Pathfinders! XD
      I liked the style of the room: I loved all of the gear on the first floor and the artifacts and mysteries to uncover! Also, this room had many players compared to all other tribes.

    1. Wildfire has a type advantage against The Yellowjackets, Pathfinders, and the Night Crawlers. Sorry., they’re out of the question. The Flying Squids knocked out Wildfire. Since electricity has a type advantage against water and flying types, the Flying Squids and Seraphim are out. Sorry. Now, it’s Black flags (dark)
      vs Nanobots (electric). Who will win? See, it’s much easier if you play pokemon.

      1. How do flying squids beat wildfires? The wildfires can dehydrate the flying squids and burn the black flags. Electrisity has no effect on fire but fire can burn the life out of the nanobots.

I just want to remind you that Slanted Fish isn’t in charge of what happens in Poptropica, Doggones. Unless I’m mistaken (which I’m not), this blog is made up of only players of Poptropica.
