Note: This mini game is now retired.

Gameplay

The 2 players will be on either side of the gamescreen, next to their paint cannon (the gun). There will be a white backdrop in the sky and a bunch of colored balloons floating in the air in random spots. There is no time or shot limit – the game ends when one of the players pops 7 balloons, or if one of the players quits the game early. The objective is to be the first to pop 7 balloons. Every time a balloon is hit, it pops and paint is splattered onto the white backdrop.

Point System

Points are awarded during the game. Every time you pop a balloon, you get a point. The maximum amount of points each player can have in a game is 7. When a player reaches 7 points, the player wins and the game is over. When the game has a winner, all the balloons on the screen automatically pop (as shown below). In the example below, Player 2 won, because he had 7 points first (Player 1 had 6).

Player Tips

  • By Slanted Fish: Aim for the balloons that are closest to you. You will save more time that way because you won’t have to hold the “FIRE” button as long. Don’t waste time because that would make more time for your opponent to win points. Always stay alert.
  • By Popularthunder: Always keep your eye on the balloon you want to hit. Never look at your opponent’s score, because if you are losing, you might get a bad feeling or be discouraged.
  • By Zany Dragon: Contrary to the tip above, if you can accept disappointment, then keep an eye on both scores. Even if you are discouraged, it’ll give you an idea of whether you need to work faster or not. Also, try to aim for bigger balloons. Not only are they easier to hit, but then, your opponent won’t have a chance to hit them.
  • By Mall Manager Clown: When your opponent is distracted with harder balloons, hit the easier ones. Also,if balloons appear in a diagonal line, aim at them. You will be able to fire at them easily by aiming in the same direction.

  1. I like to aim for high ballons. Sure, they are tricky, but that way your opponent will have a hard time trying to get there.

  2. If there aren’t any balloons near your cannon, and there are a bunch near your opponent’s, knock them out so you get the points, and not them.

  3. Can you add this Please.”Always keep your eye on the balloon you want to hit, never look at your opponents score, because you might get a bad feeling when you losing” Thank You PHB and have a great day.

  4. Wow, close game! Any way, here are some MORE tips:
Keep an eye on both scores. Even if you are discouraged, it’ll give you an idea of whether you need to work faster or not.(Sorry, PopularThunder.) Also, try to aim for bigger balloons. Not only are they easier to hit, but then, your opponent won’t have a chance to hit them.

  5. This is totally my favorite game! Just remember to keep trying, especially if you are losing! 😀

  6. I don’t play Paint War very much because I am not so good at it. Here’s my status:

    Wins: 0
    Losses: 2

    1. paint war has to do with speed, if your computer is fast and another persons computer is slow, if you think of it…they would take a bit more time to hit the ball which is why some people are just too fast at it

  7. Wins: 31
Losses: 25 (when I was a beginner, I lost at Paint War all the time because my computer was slow)
