Heyo, readers! It’s me, Purple Claw!

The Poptropica fandom is full of talented artists, fun YouTubers, bloggers, and more! Although we’re proud of what we have here on the PHB, we think you’d be missing out if you didn’t also check out all the other awesome creative work that goes on in the Poptropica community. So, in this post, we’re going to show you how you can discover many of these Poptropica fan creators!

In the past few months, so many blogs were created in this community that we simply had to do something about it.  Thus, the Poptropica Bloggers Network was created by Hyper Gamer and me, and it’s been going strong for several months now. Check it out here!

Our goal with the PBN is to help smaller Poptropica blogs, even those that are just starting out, to grow and become more popular. If you’re interested in seeing what else goes on in the Poptropica community outside of the PHB, check out the list below of all our current PBN partners:

As you can see, there are a lot of blogs that have joined the PBN, and I’m really glad about that. Smaller Poptropica blogs deserve a chance to shine and become more well-known in the community, and the PBN is here to help you on that journey.

Blogging is a fun hobby, and if you have a Poptropica blog yourself, you might consider joining our network. Or if you’re not a blogger yet, but you want to give it a chance, guess what? Starting is easy! You can build a free blog by using WordPress.com, Blogger, or another website creation tool.

If you’re interested in joining the PBN, head over to this page to review our guidelines, then leave a comment with the required info. We’ll get back to you!

There are many benefits to joining our network, including:

  • Get listed in the Our Popping Sites page along with your blog’s slogan.
  • Have your blog’s RSS feed added to the PBN Blog page so people can see your posts.
  • Get your events, contests, or parties advertised in the Community Events page.
  • Have a personal emoji of your blog on the PBC.
  • Join our awesome events, polls and contests!

The PHB isn’t the only Poptropica blog around – you might want to read more than one! Each blogger has a unique style and fun ideas and I hope you’ll be willing to give their awesome content a chance!

At the beginning of this post, I mentioned artists and YouTubers along with bloggers. While the PBN is just for blogs, there is a lot more Poptropica content waiting to be discovered in those other realms as well – which you can discover in our newly-revamped Poptropica Fandom Community Directory right here on the PHB!

Islands of the Month, Wimpy Boardwalk Island

Behind-The-Scenes: Wimpy Sketches For Your Favorite Boardwalk!

Howdy, good players of Poptropica!

It’s me, Purple Claw, with some behind the scenes info about – you guessed it – Wimpy Boardwalk! This exciting little Island, along with Wimpy Wonderland are April’s Islands of the Month, which means everyone gets extra credits! Yup, even non-members!

As you probably know, if you complete one of these islands for the very first time, you’ll get 500 credits! And if you’re a pro on the Wimpy islands and you’ve already beaten them; no worries, you’ll be getting 300 credits for re-playing them! Enjoy the credits and as well as the sketches you’re about to see below, searched by the lovely Skinny Moon. 😛

Skinny Moon was kind enough to show us a couple of early sketches about the beach and the arcade of this boardwalk. Let’s check them out!

The first image might be uncolored, but it looks a LOT like the current beach. The arcade had quite a makeover, since the roof, font, and the inside of the arcade changed. Also, a little shirt stand was added, named ”TeeTime”. First designs aren’t always final designs, and the second and third image (and some other sketches you’re about to see) can confirm that.

Hmm, the images below showcase the early design of each game stand, and how much they changed during the production of this island. I personally prefer the current design, but the early ones aren’t bad at all!

The first image looks more like a carnival, the second one looks medieval time-themed, and the third one seems to be a mix of both. 😛

And last but not least, I’d like to show some sketches about the fun (and dangerous) rides of Wimpy Boardwalk:

The early sketch is really stunning in my opinion, by looking how complicated and filled it is. The background is what amuses me the most. Again, the ”Fun House” hasn’t changed a lot, but it’s nice to see all these awesome sketches and see the differences between early and finished designs!

A New Author Claws His Way In: Purple Claw!

Hey there, Poptropicans!

As you’ve probably read in the title, I’m the newest author here on the PHB. I’m really honored to be here, and I’d like to thank Fishy and the whole team for giving me this great opportunity!

I’m John, but you can also call me Purple Claw, which is my Poptropican’s name. I’m also known as PC, Pea Sea, and Mr. Potato in the Poptropica community, but you can call me whatever you want, as long as I’m comfortable with it. 😛

If you haven’t heard of me, here’s a little about myself:

I first played Poptropica in 2013 in my school’s computer lab. After that, I forgot all about Poptropica, but I was re-introduced to the game a year later. It wasn’t until 2016 that I became more familiar with this community, and I decided to create my own blog, called Clawtropica! If you’re interested in more of my story, I encourage you to read my MPIP!

Some of you might know that I briefly quit blogging recently, but during those few days, I realized how much I missed blogging about my favorite game. So, after two days, I came back (that was fast, I know). And the very next day, I was invited to become an author for the awesome Poptropica Help Blog, so here I am now! I promise that I’ll write interesting and fun posts for all of you Poptropica fans.

So, I’m a 14 (almost 15)-year-old boy and I live in England. Besides Poptropica, I’m a fan of many other media, from TV shows like Steven Universe and Adventure Time to comics from the DC Universe. I also like animals, trees, my friends, my family, French fries and many other things.

If you’d like to talk to me, I’m on the PHC most of the time! I’m also on Twitter, DeviantArt, and YouTube, but the best places to reach me are WordPress and Discord. I also blog on another awesome fan blog called A Quota of Poptropica, created by our very own Happy Lobster, and I co-own the Poptropica Bloggers Network alongside my fellow buddy, Hyper Gamer.

As I’ve said before, I’m really excited to be a part of the PHB, and I’ll strive to make this community even more fun! I’ll see you guys soon!
