It’s grad season, and at least one creative graduate has decorated their mortarboard with Poptropica art! 🎓 Reddit user ottomicbomb recently shared their grad cap featuring a bedazzled Dr. Hare and blimp, and it reminded us of a couple other artful pieces from years past, by Azia and happyclonetrooper. Check them out below, and if you’re a new grad too, congratulations! 🥳
While graduation (and their fancy hats) mark the end of an era, it also invites us to look back at our beginnings. A new meme by TeamTheorist on Instagram, of the famed Theorists YouTube channels including Game Theory, referenced Poptropica among a carousel of 2000s–2010s virtual worlds, each captioned “Where my gamer lore started.” Specifically, it features the Hydra scene from Mythology Island:
