Hello fellow Poptropicans, and welcome back to another Halloween Costume Contest with the PHB! Cue the excitement, and most importantly the theme… The Show Must Go On! 🎪
This year, we’re looking for circus wonders, from trapeze artists to clowns, animals, and characters from carnivals in the media. And there’s one more twist: your costume must include a handheld item! ✍️
☑️ Rules ☑️
- 💙 Create your costumes on Poptropica! You may create as many as you like for the competition. To qualify, it needs to have a handheld item and belong in a circus.
- 📸 Take a screenshot. For the backdrop, we recommend either the character customization screen or the Costumizer window on PoptropiCon. Here’s how you can take a screenshot. Please crop it to focus on your costume.
- ⬆️ Upload your pic to the internet. You’ll need a web link for your pic to share it with us, which you can get by posting it to sites like Imgur, Discord, or Instagram. Then, comment on this post with the link.

🗺 Tips for Creating Your Costume 🗺
- Make use of what you’ve got! Dig through old items or buy new store costumes to mix and match pieces together.
- On PoptropiCon, use the Costumizer to snag parts from NPCs.
- Try glitching with the ASG Machine (for full costumes) along with usernames from our ASG collection.
- Visit the PHB’s Costumes Look Book for more ideas, including past Halloween contest winners and Pop fashion tips and tricks.

- 🗓 Deadline: The contest closes on Saturday, October 26.
- 🎃 On Halloween (October 31), we’ll post our favorite costumes on the front page of the PHB for all to enjoy.
- 🥇 First place will win a copy of Poptropica on Steam (valued at US$20), which includes 17 of the newer classic islands.
- 🥈 Second place will win a Poptropica merch item of their choice from Zazzle (up to US$20).
- 🥉 Third place will win a Poptropica merch item of their choice from Zazzle (up to US$10).
- 💎 Winning costumes will be immortalized in our Look Book, but we’ll also have honorable mentions for just the post, not page.

How did you make your Poptropican headless?
It was a costume that I got about 2 years ago.

(If you are wondering how he would be in a circus, I figured that he would be of great interest to viewers. This is because he would be fun due to his way of speaking and lack of modern knowledge. At the same time, he could serve to inform visitors of first-hand knowledge of the US Independence, being as he suddenly appeared in 2024 from the 1770s. Don’t worry, I’m sure he’s well paid)

This might be a stretch, but I made this look based on Saint-Saëns’ ‘Carnival of the animals ~ VII Aquarium’ which sounds so mysterious and magical (to me at least), perfect for Halloween!
If you need a handheld fish item, i’d either recommend Posiden’s trident from Mythology, or the fish from Shark Guy’s ASG outfit.
Thank you, yeah I did see that but I was having some trouble with the ASG machine. I’ve worked out how to do it now, but I already submitted that costume lol.
