Today, I’m going to be making a discussion post for you Poptropicanos to converse about. I’ve been noticing the community is more art-bent than anything lately (not like that’s a bad thing! 😛 ). I love all the artists and musicians here, but I feel as if we should talk about the actual game features and the problem I’ve been noticing with them as well. 😀
More specifically, the so-called Daily Pop.
If you’re like me, it’s your favorite feature. If you like theorizing over the sneak peeks, it definitely is. Though, are they really keeping up with their name?
The Daily Pop isn’t daily anymore. To me, it feels as if they just upload a sneak peek when they have a sneak peek to upload. That isn’t daily at all! Also, the Celebrity Clips haven’t been updated in years, along with the side games they have to offer. What’s up with that?
The infamous Poptropica comic was from Monday to Friday weekly, and I give it that. Though, it did come to its temporary end in November while Kory Merrit is working on the novels. Hate to be harsh, but not daily. 
And yes, while I understand they’re busy and whatnot, and they do have our best interests at heart with other things like rad items and groovy islands, (yes, I just said groovy), I do feel as if the Daily Pop should either step up its game, or reinvent itself and give it a different name. 😛
What they have to offer to us is truly great, but maybe they shouldn’t be called the Daily Pop anymore. What do you think? Discuss in the comments! 🙂

I agree. It’s a shame that the Daily Pop isn’t updated much anymore. I guess the Creators are just busy or something, I’m not sure.

I love the Daily Pop. They really SHOULD update it more often…
Wait, I’m an on an off Poptropica player, and I always thought that the Celebrity Clips never changed. It is pretty sad that the Creators sort of stopped. But I AM happy that they didn’t stop updating the comics. I actually check them everyday… sometimes without even playing Poptropica :D! Maybe the Daily Pop should be called the Pop!

Sometimes when I’m bored playing the game I read the Daily Pop, but now it didn’t get updated recently. I agree with you, Spence.
Sad as it is, it’s true. We’ve gotten one Daily Pop sneak peek for this month. One! That’s an all time low. I can understand taking weekends off or missing the occasional weekday, but the posting schedule with the sneak peeks has gotten progressively worse. It’s good that you bring this up, so hopefully the Creators hear that we want to see more sneak peeks.
As for the other features of the Daily Pop (Creator Clips, comics, flash games), I personally don’t care too much for them, but it would still be cool to see them updated once in a while. For Creator Clips, it would be cool to hear from more Poptropica Creators, possibly sharing about their work with Poptropica (and perhaps also the funny anecdotes the Creator Clips offer).
Also, there are other places on the web to read comics or play simple flash games, and Poptropica doesn’t necessarily need to focus on that when they already offer a more unique gameplay experience. It would be nice to see more Poptropica comic strips (there hasn’t been an update in months), but perhaps that’s been put on hold while the illustrator, Kory Merritt, works on the Poptropica graphic novels.
The Daily (soda) Pop doesn’t seem to be “daily” anymore. Just call it sneak peeks or something…

Thanks for the update! I figured that was probably the reason, that you guys are extremely busy over there, but it would still be nice to see some sneak peeks! If one a day (5 in a week) is too much to ask for, maybe post on the Daily Pop 2-3 times a week? We’d love to have some idea of what to look forward to! 🙂
When we don’t post sneak peeks, it means we don’t have anything we are able to show you guys yet… 🙂
yes! It has been bugging me that the comic is not posting anymore!! Everyone’s going on about that at GoComics! Hey, Creators, if you are listening (Which i sorta doubt) i really want more comics!!
I hear you, Lucky Wing! Kory Merritt is the illustrator of our Poptropica comic, and he’s taking a hiatus to focus on our Poptropica books. He can only do so much! 🙂
