Hey everyone! Anyone want to go back in time and live in Ancient Egypt? Well, if you do, this is the island for you! The fifth runner-up for Poptropica’s Create Your Dream Island (CYDI) contest is Pharaoh’s Fantasies Island, submitted by Calloway B. of Kentucky!
The pic above is from Nabooti Island, which includes an area with the Great Sphinx of Giza. I know some of you sent in an island about Ancient Egypt one way or another, but here’s why the Creators chose this one:
The pitch: In my Island, Poptropicans would enter the mind of King Tutankhaman, and defeat the gods of Egypt.
Why we liked it: Calloway’s wasn’t the only entry that dealt with Ancient Egypt in some way, but the twist — going inside the mind of the Pharaoh — was inspired. Calloway also suggested some very colorful characters and monsters for the player to battle. It was easy to see how Pharaoh’s Fantasies would make a fantastic Island!
Nice! I wonder what it would be like to be in the mind of the Pharaoh, King Tut? That would be so cool! The Creators reached out to Calloway to ask him some questions about his entry, but unfortunately they have not yet heard back. When they do, you can check out his interview on the Creators’ Blog!
