Well, on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, Reality TV island was released to Members. This is more that 2 years afterย the Creators first announced RTV. Members seem very excited about RTV, and I’m sure Smockers is even happier because I’ve heard tell that Hippie Man is alive and well. While the Members *gag* frolic happilyย in RTV and us NonMembers sit and wait until March 24, we’re planning an attack on the Creators on account of Membership. Bring your hand items!!!! I’ve got mah FLAMETHROWER.

The new Reality TV island is now available early with Poptropica membership! If you don’t have membership, Reality TV will still be out and FREE for everyone on March 24th!

What used to be a fun, free kids site is now a money making machine. Every site that used to be fun and freeis restrcted to payers now. I think I may soon never visit an MMO again.
You know what would be WORSE? If you have to buy the rooms AND buy the furniture with credits! But no. That wouldn’t happen. If you can make rooms, it would be free. If you can make your room, it just seems like one of those things… one of those things that everyone gets, you know what I mean?

Members: Decorate, upgrade, and have fun.

RTV is not so exciting after you actually win it.sure you have 1 or 2 days of endless happiness but RTV is really simple.I think its like early poptropica in simplicity and easyness.
in RTV u just do some stuff to get in the reality TV show and then u do 7 challenges! thats it!(oh, u can also play the 7 challenges all over again but it gets tiring after a while.)

Not exactly. Sure, there is Mike’s Market and stuff, but it’s small and you can’t even shop. And the multi-player room is small, too. Plus, in the hotel room, you can only go inside one of the rooms. Also, Hippie Man, you hardly see him… But, the best thing about RTV is the awesome selection of clothes! You can make an incredible outfit in that place, I tell ya. But, everyone, just a warning: don’t get your hopes up.
Yes, you can do challenges over again… WHICH IS TOTALLY AWESOME! What? It’s not like I hate RTV. In fact, I like it! It’s my… 3rd favorite island?
the challenges are Boulder Push, Coconut Catch, On the line(fishing), Totem Hop, Balanced diet(u just balance a large stick), Water Run(the challenge shown on the RTV traier with the warthog), Turtle Shell toss, Mountain Race, Pole Climb, Shuffleboard, Shot Put(throwing boulders), and Geyser Guess. Also,on the map it says more challenges are to come!
That is exciting!

Herre are what I think are the highest points of RTV:
1. The awesome outfits! I found this one video game shirt… Hey, I’ll spread it! Later, I’ll make a multiverse!
2. Getting to do the challenges over. It’s fun!
3. The house in Wayside apartments. It’s really cool!
4. Meeting nice people.
5. Getting to vote people off!

My favorite challenge is Water Run! I just think it’s so fun:D (you have a large cracked jar on your head,you run and jump on 3 platforms and avoid the running warthog or you’ll be knocked down,you run to a waterfall to fill your jar and you run back to fill your water barrel,the first person to fill their water barrel wins,also if u are hit by the warthog while your jar is ful u lose all your water!)
My favorite is fishing, because you can see all of da cool fishies! Oh, or maybe shuffleboard, not to win, but because I always go nuts with it and knock everybody out of place. ๐
my second favorites are Fishing and Shuffleboard!I LOVE DA FISHIES!

OH. MY. CHEESE. I’ve found a way to get membership!!! Kinda. You have to already have membership on another account, and you don’t get the gold cards, you only get to go on RTV, and you can’t leave. What you do is go on your account that has membership, log out, make a new account, a girl, age 6, and go to Poptropica. Before you click on which island to go to, click back. You should be on RTV, on your new account!!! ๐ Well, it’s practically useless, because #!, you can’t get gold cards, #@, you have to already have membership, so, yeah, and #3, you can’t get off of RTV. But, still, at least I tried! It’s really simple.

step 4) close the poptropica store and click “save and quit” button.but dont click log out.
step 5) press tab until there is a little box somewhere
step 6) click “return to the game”
step 7) okay, guys, this part is tricky.get out your cell phone. text CREDITS to 888-722-8035. (just do it)
step 8) log out of poptropica.
step 9) now log back in.

I personally don’t see why people think membership is the worst idea in the world and a disadvantage, I have never heard of a safe, free site like Poptropica. When I first discovered the site I couldn’t believe it. When they brought out Time Tangled and the Costumizer and the Store, it was the bomb. People don’t get membership, they aren’t saying ‘You guys need to give us lots and lots of money otherwise your life will suck for eternity’ they are saying ‘If you pay a tiny bit of money you can become a member, get to use everything and early access to islands. But don’t worry if you can’t, cos you can still earn credits, and after a litle bit, play the new island!’

I have a question for some people with membership- what are some of the challenges you play in RTV?

All of the games and the objectives are:

Rock Push: Rapidly click to win
Mountain climb: Like the game on funbrain.com but poptropica. Click up to jump and down to duck.
Balance: On the circle, click and hold down and try to keep the ball in the middle the longest.
Pole Climb: You donโt even have to move the arrow up; just click to the side you want to switch to avoid the falling coconuts.
Coconut catch: Collect 20 points of coconuts to win. Regular: 1 point 3: 3 points Bomb: -1 point
gysers: Only pure luck can win this one: Click on a gyserand hope you donโt get blown
Boar cup: Collect water at the waterfall and avoid getting hit by the boar (makes you lose water)
Totem hop: hop on (by clicking) to a totem that isnโt shaking.
Turtle shell toss: Toss your shell into a point basket lily pad thing.
Rock throw: Use the mose to cick the height and width of your throw. On the line: Be the first to catch five fishes by clicking on your fishing

OMG!!!!! I found a major glitch on RTV!!!!!!!!!!! Just before I was going to play a challenge,”sorry,your character’s look has been lost,please choose a gender and we will create a look for you” popped up and I chose boy.Then guess what happened!? All the other contestants turned into that strange afro guy! ๐ :O ๐
WOAH! No way! The closest thing I’ve had to that was when I was on AK Island and while it was loading it said Pop was having technical difficulties…

@ Mighty Ice: Don’t get started with the “cheese touch”. It drives me crazy when people do that at school. If some oe you don’t know what it is, its from diary of a wimpy kid, and someone in the world started an imaginary “cheese touch” and now EVERYONE is doing it.
@ Blue Carrot: I agree. The creators had to do it, think of the economy, and think of what they have to pay to keep the website up.
@ Orange Clover: Not a large percentage of people buy credits, and with this new membership, you don’t NEED credits. You get Early access to islands and everything in the store. And a TON of people are buying that, though it made a lot of us angry, it helped them.

Coskit I think you should do whatever you want to do, or what you think is better in the long run. I personally think you should keep Coskit though because 1: people who don’t know what your new name is will have no idea what it means ( I’d already forgotten the name). 2: Coskit is easier to remember, and 3: Coskit is much easier to pronounce. I believe you should do what you like more, something you’d be happy with.
