Hello from the clouds! So you want to get good at Sky Dive on Poptropica? You’ve come to the right place.
To start a game of Sky Dive, visit any of the common rooms (like the Arcade) and look for the head-to-head game machine. Click the arrows on the side until you come to Sky Dive, then wait for an opponent to join you.
How to play
Your goal is to safely reach the ground before your opponent.
After the signal to go is given, click once to jump, then click again when you’re ready to open your parachute. First one to the ground wins!

Tips & Tricks
You and your opponent will start on clouds in the sky. With great alertness and patience, wait for the “GO!” signal and tap immediately when it comes. Don’t click too soon, or you’ll get a false start and forfeit the round.
Right about the moment when you’re level with the tree (or perhaps right when you see the treetop if you want to play it safe), activate your parachute. Once you do, you’ll fall much more slowly, but know you’ll have a safe landing.
If you don’t open your parachute in time, you’ll fall on your seat, rather than your feet, and lose. But if you open it too soon, your opponent might beat you to the landing. The key is to parachute at just the right time.

You will win every time if you use this tip. It works for me.
Tip: Once your Poptropican is on level with the tree, press and hold the mouse. If you hold the mouse. you basically lose all speed. The more you play with this tip, you will find yourself wanting to descending lower and lower before you let your parachute open. Its the best tip out there. I’ve only lost about 10 times since I made my account, and I’ve been playing for 3 years.

I usually wait until I see the tree poking out at the bottom of my screen, because any earlier and I will lose, any later I will probably be slower than the other person if they’re good at this. Do your thing, this tip’s mine. 😉

I guess I can give a tip. ^^ A good way to win is to descend from the cloud as usual. But as you descend, if you see any hint of dark blue (from the mountains) or green (from the treetop), activate your parachute. It will usually end up as you activating your parachute last, thus causing you to win. Hey, it works for me. 😀

A good tip: come down from the cloud as usual but try to get off the cloud before your opponent. Once in the air, wait til your opponent opens his parachute. As soon as he gets it open, you can open your parachute. Make sure you open your parachute before you get to the tree. If done right, you should get on the ground first!
This is my worse game, because there seems to be a glitch on this game on my account the parachute will never open even when I click.It only opens very rarely it opens. LOL I’ve won 22 times and lost about 66 times. ROFLMAO!!! 😆 😆

There are tips for winning the game.
1. Jump of quickly.
Before you jump, watch out if you don’t want to make a false start. Some time make it slowly, and sometimes too fast that you already ose at this part,
2. Don’t try to open parcute so fast.
It’s is too slow. You usually lose unless you have a great luck that the other player fail to land.
3. Great place to land.
It the safest and quickest to open your parcite between the mountain and the treetop. sometimes you might not land safely if you go to near the land.

While falling without the parachute keep your hand on your mouse.When you are near the tree and your opponent is behind , click and you will land without losing.
I have a tip:
Timing is everything! Make sure to open your parachute at the precise moment.Open it too early and you’ll fall too slow, giving you opponent the upper hand. If you open it too late, you’ll fall and crash.

U know what, I played 130 times and yet, I won only 1 time! Gee, I never thought that would happen to me!
This is my best game, so good luck to everyone! Here are a few tips for you guys:
ALWAYS keep your mouse at the ready. Wait as patiently as possible for the words to say GO! then click. Make sure it’s not a moment too soon. Keep an eye on your player and the screen to make sure you activate your parachute at the right time: not too soon, not too late.(The parachute can slow you down if you do it too soon.) What I do is click when I see the treetop.
I’ve got 367 wins and 36 losses lol. not bragging or anything… lol

Did anyone notice that they changed the game? I used to be able to HALO to the extreme, but now the parachute opening has a delay. Oh well.
This is a good tip. When you see the word, “GO!” you click on the cloud you start on, then put out your parachute about 3 to 4 seconds before you hit the ground. Do that and you will probably win.

My tip is if you fail to jump off the cloud first, Don’t worry! The other player may be waiting for you to get out your parachute. Therefore, Making the hole. Make sure if the other player is trying that is to get the parachute out at the moutain/treetop. It will be too late to get the other players parachute out.

Look, whenever I play this Sky-Dive-ey-thingi, when ”Go!” appears, my opponent starts falling first, even if I was faster and rightfully first to fall.
Because of that, I just can’t win! So far, I have had 1 win and 129 loses.
Can I do anything?
Since your opponent only started falling after “Go!”, it probably means that he was just a bit faster than you in clicking, even if it seems like you had been really quick. You could still have a chance to win by releasing the parachute at just the right time, or if your opponent forgets to activate his parachute.
