On this magical and momentous day, us Poptropicans without membership, get to access the greatest and latest:
REALITY TV ISLAND!!!
But to be honest, I don’t feel all that cheery. Having to wait so long, and miss out is kinda sapping all the fun out of playing a new island. Which is another reason this whole Membership thing sucks. I mean, I understand the Creators need cha-chingy and all, but at least they could still have Early Access Passes…

Here’s the Creators blog post about it. A new mini-game challenge (Hang Glider) was also added to the island in celebration for today. Apparently, they share none of my unhappiness on what would otherwise be an awesome day:

I’ve been on it five seasons and haven’t won XD but once I was doing the postcard (ma second time, it is possible!) and there was lightning in the background! Creepy!

Yeah, it was actually really hard… around the same level as super power, spy, big nate and a little easier than counterfeit 🙂 it was the ‘Pretty hard, but not too hard’ level. But it was fun, A good challenge. 😀

Finished it with both of my accounts,but i was kinda dissapointed.I wanted a bigger quest,but i luv the fact that u can go and compete over and over againg even when u finish the island.
Yea it seemed quick, Astro-Kinghts and Counterfiet took me like an hour but this took me like 15-20 minutes!
It wasn’t as big as I thought… The challenges were kinda tough to beat on my first try, but after I won, they seemed to get easier.

Wasn’t the best island, it was too easy and I finished in half an hour… without any help. I won the first season I tried, but it wasn’t worth all that waiting.
You’re right molly.. Rtv wasn’t even exciting to me.. 🙄 I just like Mythology… I’m so mad at the creators…
I SOOOO agree. The first time i played i won, and it took me 20 minutes compared to astro or counterfiet which took me like 50 with help. I was disapointed with how easy and un-great it was. It was like, what, a one year wait, you think they could have don greater things there

RTV island took a lot of time for Poptropica to prepare.Anyway,i think Mythology island will be the best ever created in Poptropica:)
This is probaby just me, but I think that Mythology Island will be HARD. RTV WAS pretty easy. once you know how to do all the games, and you practice them over and over, it’s pretty easy!

I’ve only seen Dr. Hare on once. Busy Bob is TERRIBLE at the turtle-shell throw game! He scored a big “0” twice when we played!! It’s fun to vote him off. :p
rtv is way to easy, i personally think that if it was based on like that survivor show they could have or should have put in some backround stuff like alliances or other stuff like that

What I mean is that his eyes, skin, and lines under his eyes match Hades’s.

Think RTV as a mini-quest…which gives you 100 credits =D
Hijuyo: RTV Island is an actual full quest, which is why it awards 100 credits for completion. It’s even a whole island on the map and you can win an island medallion from it. Mini-quests only give 50 creds. 😐
i think he was trying to help those of us who didnt like it feel better. imagine that it was just a mini-quest, but you 100 creds out of it!
I agree.RTV was TOO short.Compared to Early Pop, RTV was a 1/100 of that.Oh well, give what the people want, I suppose. 😦

Well, part of me likes it since you can play it over and over, but lots why I don’t. First, where’s the Hippie Man? He’s never there! Second, IT’S SO SHORT! Play a few, 100 credits. Boom. Like that. Not much challenge. The games aren’t real hard. And the fact that they made this for 2 years and hardly impresses us. Quality, quality, quality…

This island is hard!! I had Director D as my last opponent when i got hit by a bird and fell in a volcano xD (hang glider challenge)
This is so weird… has this happend to any of you guys? I was standing in the motel office, everything was as usual, when suddenly, everything grew dark. Then lightning came and struck me, and it continued to strike me! Then, after about about 30 seconds, it stopped, and it became light again and I was standing there wondering what the heck happend. Has that happend to any of you guys?? And if it has, what was it all about???

If I had to sum RTV up in one word, it would be ANTICLIMAX. I really thought there would be more.
I already finished it! The hardest challenge is ‘Balanced Diet’! Shuffleboard is sooooooooooo easy!

Balanced Diet is REALLY hard. I’ve never won. Easiest is DEFINATELY the rock-pushing! Always win that one. Just click as fast as you can on the screen. Easy! 😀
I waited soooo long for this island and all that the creators could come up with was THIS? It only took me like 15 minutes,compared to the whole year (almost) i waited for it!!! Atleast i got 100 full credits, instead of 50, since it really felt like i should have only gotten 50. Haunted House was as hard as RTV Island was. aaah, well. C’ est la vie.
Actually, I think that Haunted House was HARDER than RTV. 😆 It was more confusing. At least you know what to do on RTV, it’s just hard to beat all the games.
RTV was actually very dissapointing. We waited so long, an entire year, and the island seemed more like a mini-quest. It took me about 15 minutes to finish, which wasn’t as long as it took me to complete the Halloween mini-quest. There wasn’t really anywhere for your Poptropican to go, only one street and the cluster of boring mini-games. I expected an extremely epic island, especially after a whole year in the making, but I was not happy with the result. This island had little to no substance and was way too easy. Here’s hoping the next islands better….. :`(

theres a glitch where if you jump on top of the helecopter blades, (in the middle) it does a really cool emoticon and spins and shakes around. 🙂

That’s amazing! It’s especially cool when you use the cheat to make the angry emote while you’re spinning. Your head blows off and goes spinning in the air!!!
its also cool if you have the Robin Hood bow. When u press space, the arrow goes to the left and right. 😀
Actually, RTV isn’t that great. i have a feeling that it’s just a bunch of games cobbled together to keep us impatient Poptropicans satisfied while they write Mythology Island.

I beat RTV in under an hour…It seemed pretty easy. I did like that you got to choose who to eliminate. But yeah. It seemed like we were waiting forever for this, and now it comes out, and it’s like REALLY easy. I prefer AstroNights, because it is harder, which to me is more fun. I hope Mythology won’t be as easy….

**** Something WEIRD happened while playing the Turtle Shell Toss. I tied with Grandpa Grum, so we kept throwing the coconuts in the turtle shells. Well, the stubborn old man wouldn’t give up and I lost count of all the tie-breakers. Guess what. My points went up to…1,060…!!!!! before old Grandpa FINALLY went for the +10 points and I won! 😮 That’s ridiculous!!! Grandpa Grum SURE is stubborn and did NOT want to be beaten…but I finally did, after I got over 1,000 points. 😆
and i thought it was silly when i went over 200!
1,060 wow thats alot … although that is a bit much like the highest one is 20 points that must have taken at least 530 tries
Well look on the bright side. The creators at least are making an effort to keep us poptropicans satisfied. And lame island might mean amazing island next:)

I thought that Reality TV Island would be great but when it was available it was kinda boring because all you had to do is to get your Poptropican to do some challenges and then just vote off someone. That is just so simple isn’t it?
