Spreading the Poptropica love with Realms & fan creations

Happy Valentine’s Day from the Poptropica Help Blog! ❤ We didn’t have a party, but we hope you’re enjoying the sweetened color scheme and header – don’t worry, it’s just for today. 😉

Anyway, over on Twitter, Poptropica’s been sharing the love with another batch of remarkable Realms creations – check them out below! (click to enlarge pictures)

Some of these kind of resemble Angry Birds levels, somehow. 😛 For more info on this feature, check out the PHB’s Poptropica Realms Guide!

There’s not much else going on at the moment, but here are some recent fan creations from the Poptropica community on social media! From left to right: PHB author Brave Tomato’s drawing of characters from the Poptropica comics, a villain Valentine from technobunny16, and DJ_kitty_girl’s custom Dr. Hare doll. (For a villain, Dr. Hare sure is lovable…)

Also, apparently, the Popstorm series is drawn by Poptropica artist Jon Pitcher, who has the entire collection thus far on a Pinterest board. Here’s what he has to say about it:

As a Poptropica Creator I created this Popstorm series to inspire kids to use their imagination to be as silly and creatively as possible as they develop their own stories and cast of characters. There are some animation tricks quietly sketched into some of these pages. See if you can find them.

And lastly, here’s an unreleased Poptropica comic strip to wrap up this post (nice touch adding in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie, by the way).

That’s all for now, but be sure to catch up on all the latest happenings (and even wild theories) in the posts below. Stay popping, Poptropicans. 🙂

House of Cards Island: an in-depth look from its inventor

Hey everyone! Remember when the Creators announced last week the fourth runner-up for the CYDI (Create Your Dream Island) contest – House of Cards Island? Well, actually, the person who made it saw our PHB post and sent us a more in-depth look at the island he invented that won him a prize of all the Poptropica books! (Just to clarify: This is not going to be a real island, as it was just a runner-up in the contest.)

Joel (Giant Foot) – the island’s inventor – commented on my post talking about his island. I asked him to email me the plot, its characters, and more miscellaneous info about House of Cards, and here’s what he shared. Thanks Joel! Click Read More to read on!

Viewer’s Showcase: February 2014

(¯`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.-> Hi Gs, <-.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.·´¯)

–How do you like my new intro? Tell me in the comments! And now back to the scheduled programming. 😛 —

We all have talent, but most of the time it doesn’t get the right recognition. Not anymore!

vs copy

I received a little piece of fan art by “StraBurri Cook”. I thought it was so cute (as well as good)!

You have made my stinking day! That is the cutest thing evah! I’ll be changing my Gravatar to this dude for a while. 😀

Spotted Dragon also made an equally awesome pic of me. I’m proud to be creative! 😀

Another amazing artist in the community goes by the name Cool Berry, the Unicorn Cat. She makes fun little pieces that I think we can all enjoy! 😀

This month, origin stories seem to fit. Sticky Clown has written a little origin story of Dr. Hare, or Harvey Hare in the story. You can find it hosted on the PTFP.

The Return of Binary Bard is an ongoing story with unpredictable plot twists, and a hearty amount of script. Be sure to check it out, hosted on the PTFP.

Blog of the Month

I love to have a community of fellow artists, and Clean Shark is one of the artists who make it possible. Check out his fun blog, Poptropica Fun Blog, for frequent updates, and some quirky art. 😛  (It even has a fanfic of its own! 😉 )

Check out the fun you’ve been missing out on here: http://cleansharkandpoptropica.wordpress.com/

You see me back, so obviously you know that I decided to continue Viewer’s Showcase. Turns out A LOT more people like VS than I expected. Thank you! 😀

Also, I’m thinking about changing my intro! If you can, please tell me which intro you like best in the poll below. 🙂

Viewer’s Showcase: January 2014

Hi Gs,

We have some real talented viewers in this community.  Turns out you are one of them!

When all else fails, MasterPinpey’s art always leaves me marveling.  Most of my inspiration comes from her art, as well as my style.  Here’s comparison between Pinpey’s art and mine:

See any resemblance? 😛 You can check out MasterPinpey’s deviantART here, be sure to check her out — She is a lot awesomer than I.

Also, Silver Wolf, who was in this category last month, did a cute little pic of my Cuddly Kid account.  I think that deserves some recognition. 😉

The Nameless Adventures is a fan fic created by none other than Nameless UnDEFiNed.  The newest season just came out recently, and it is not a bad read!  The story starts here, and the newest chapter is here.  Get ready for adventure, spunk, and out and out DEFiANce!

Blog of the Month

This blog has been selected because it is so genius!  Poptropica With Scary Plug is a neat little treat: it includes PopFash!on, Glitcheats (wonderful wordplay, in my opinion), and this little dude:

This blog is so inspiring, and I wish you many happy readers, Scary Plug With Poptropica! 😀

Since the new “Poptropican’s 911: Revived” magazine is coming out soon, I’m wondering if I should discontinue Viewer’s Showcase.  I mean, there is fan art, stories, and blogs in the magazine, and that’s what I do here… although this is a little bit more specific, tell me what you think; should I quit, or should I carry on? 🙂

Viewer’s Showcase!

Hi Gs,

For some of you viewers, your ultimate goal is to get featured in a post for finding a glitch, or alerting us about something new… but some of you never get the chance — the once a month Viewer’s Showcase doesn’t require anything but some handy hands!

I will be showcasing some of the most awesome art, stories, and blogs in the Poptropica universe on these posts — but I will be the one deciding!  I’ll scour the web to find the best, then let these geniuses have the spotlight!

Silver Wolf, PHB viewer and PTFP owner has took off lately with her sensational new art.  It is quirky but cool, and you can marvel at it for hours.

Looks like I have some competition. 😉

Comics qualify as novels, and novels are stories.  Cool Berry the Unicorn Cat has been hard it work creating funny little gems that are awesome!

Blog of the Month

This month, We-Love-Poptropica deserves some credit.  It’s not a regular blog, it runs on DeviantArt, and can also be called a group.  Or, a cool and artsy community.  It’s really awesome and I suggest you check it out. 🙂

Also, Spotted Dragon is having a Christmas and birthday party for her blog over on the PTFP chat; I hope you can come!

That’s it, I hope you enjoyed some awesomely unique creativity.  I hope you got a fill of something fresh and new.  😀
