Hey guys, my name is Brave Tomato, and I have arisen from the dead yet again to bring you some very exciting news: for the first time in 4 months (7 months if you’re counting solely full islands), a new adventure on Poptropica Worlds is ahead of us.
Guess what, everyone? As the title says: a storm is coming. The trailer for this new adventure had just dropped, so Poptropicans all around the world, brace yourselves, for Greek Sea Odyssey.
Now, from alltwo of the preview images that we had gotten so far, we knew that a form of Mythology Islandwas coming, but it was up in the air as to what form it would be in. The trailer, and its YouTube description, seems to imply that this is an entirely new storyline to possibly conclude Zeus’s now three-island arc. Then again, I could be wrong on that assumption. Speaking of the description, here it is!
Set sail on the newest adventure in Poptropica Worlds: Greek Sea Odyssey! Travel through Ancient Greece and beyond in search of the items that will allow you to topple Zeus once and for all!
If I have to guess how this island is going to go beyond “oh no, Zeus is wreaking havoc“, this island seems to be focusing more on a traveling direction, on dare I say, an odyssey. I have a feeling that there will be a series of lands with challenges, each relating to an item that will help in your battle against Zeus. This would likely therefore have somewhat of a Skullduggery Island kind of feel to it, and since one of the most famous stories from Greek Mythology is Homer’s The Odyssey, it would make perfect sense.
Then again, this could also be simply a fresh coat of paint on the story we already know from Mythology Island. Only time will tell on which direction this will go.
As a side note, Zeus has gotten a bit of a design revamp. Alongside his new wardrobe, he’s also looking more disheveled than before:
Whether this is a simple redesigning choice or this appearance was a consequence of being locked up in a sleep chamber for 5 years, this… will take some getting used to for me.
There’s no release date yet, so the most we can do is sit back and see what happens! I know that I’m excited—after all, Mythology Island was my favorite Island.
Where do you think this will go? Are you excited to finally get something out of the Creators? What about dealing with Zeus… yet again? Make sure to keep posted to the Poptropica Help Blog for more updates, and don’t be afraid to comment!
Hiya, Silver Wolf here with some theories on what’s behind our house’s doors in Poptropica Worlds! This idea was introduced by commenter Silver Bear, who asked what’s behind the doors and how to get into them.
The doors are most likely going to be expansions of the house, but the exciting part is what type of expansions they will be.
Common Rooms? Party at your house!
One of my first theories is that we could have our very own common room! We could choose from templates of common rooms and change them whenever we want. The templates could look like regular rooms of a house, common rooms from other islands, or anything! Like regular common rooms, there could be multiple servers of the common room so it wouldn’t get too crowded.
I especially think that tribe common rooms would be available since they were already separate and not tied to an island in Poptropica. Updated with the new graphics and art style, they could be really cool and could be expanded even further than before. Since they’re in our house, maybe we could even decorate them further just for us to view without affecting what others see.
A similar idea is that we could even design our own multiverse. We could decorate the room how we please and, when ready to invite over friends, click a button to create a random code so that they can join. The multiverse could end when the person who created it leaves, logs off, cancels the code, or becomes inactive for 10 minutes or so.
Trophy Rooms? Show off your stuff!
A simpler but more realistic theory is that the rooms could hold different types of items from islands. I think there will be a trophy room in particular because why else would Poptropica Worlds switch from coins and allow the trophies to go in our house? I mean, we’ll have a lot of trophies eventually.
A room could also be a gallery that holds our photos taken when we play islands, and we could choose what photos to put up and switch them around the way we want.
As for ways of opening the doors, the simple solution would be to use coins or Membership, but there are plenty of other ways we could open them too. I think that for at least one we could finish a special quest to open the door; the quest could even be specifically just for opening it. The doors may be able to be opened by completing islands in a certain time frame depending on their length and difficulty as well. For example, Skullduggery would have a longer time frame than Early Poptropica.
My last theory is that the Creators will scatter items or secrets across islands that we have to collect to open one of the doors. Maybe to open the door we have to learn some of Poptropica’s long lost secrets and history to get an ancient key.
When will these expansions come? Well, it’s taken well over a year — that we know of — for them to release Poptropica Worlds. That makes me think that these won’t come anytime soon, especially customizable multiverses. Maybe in a month they will release a regular room expansion for coins, but I think that anything more complex would take a really long time; after all, there aren’t even any social features yet, and there’s only one island so far that we can complete.
That’s all for my theories on what’s behind the doors! Feel free to add your own theories in the comments!
(Hey Poptropicans! This is a guest post by LillySparkle$, who also blogs with her friend Mia at Pop Blog. In this post, she’ll share a theory about an unknown character from a sneak peek! Please note that the thoughts below are imagined, and not to be taken as fact. Enjoy! –🐠)
Hello! I am Lilly, aka Maroon Jumper from the PopBlog, and I’ve got a theory about a character to share with you all. As you may recall, recently some new Pop Worlds-style preview pictures were added to the App Store description for the Poptropica app. This one, in particular, caught my eye:
There are many new characters here, as you can tell, but it’s the main guy – the largest one -who caught my eye. His overall appearance looks villainous, and he’s also completely new – never seen on Poptropica before (I asked around to make sure I hadn’t missed anything!). He’s quite an intriguing character, so here are my thoughts on him:
He seems to be a villain (obviously). With his red scar, evil grin, excessive facial hair, it’s safe to say he’s up to no good.
He dresses the part, too. Layered in thick blue clothing and carrying a satchel. Thick layers could mean he is in a cold climate, which leads us to our next topic…
Where is he from? Well, since he is so layered, and perhaps he got his scar from some tragic accident, my guess is that he came from the mines.
If you haven’t caught on, I’m referring to Crisis Caverns, an island rumored to appear on Poptropica Worlds. It was supposed to come to Poptropica in early 2015, but has since been cancelled.
Anyway, my theory is that this man – let’s just call him, uh, Scar (wow. creative.) – well, he was a miner in the Caverns, when one day he was in an accident and got a horrible scar. He became obsessed with all the exquisite and rare jewels that the mine had to offer, and greedily wanted them for himself. He’s stolen a lot already, and continues to steal. That’s where you come in, having to stop his shenanigans.
This was the sneak peek that inspired my theory:
In her post showing these Crisis Caverns leaks, Perfect Sky theorizes that this could be the final place you visit in the mines. It could, and to me, it also looks like a hideout – possibly that of the evil, overgrown-facial-haired Scar.
Please note: I am only making these guesses on a couple of pictures and a poor imagination. 😂 For all I know, Scar could just be a costume and have nothing to do with Crisis Caverns at all.
That concludes my Popspiracy theory! Thank you guys so much for reading this! What do you guys think? Leave your thoughts in the comments!
Hope you enjoyed this guest post by LillySparkle$!

(Hey Poptropicans! This is a guest post written by Smart Flame, who also runs his own site, The Smart Way to Poptropica. This post is just theory and not to be taken as fact. With that said, enjoy! –🐠)
Hi guys, it’s Smart Flame. In this post, I’ll be inventing a backstory for various Poptropica villains and exploring possibilities as to how they turned evil.
Note that since some villains already have backstories explained by the game (such as Ringmaster Raven or Binary Bard), I will not be covering those. Well, let’s get right into it!
MYRON VAN BUREN (Survival Island): Myron wanted to be the greatest hunter alive, and in order to accomplish that, he needed to top his ancestors’ accomplishments by finding a new and bigger hunt: Poptropicans. He’s never lost a chance to catch his big hunt… until you came along.
BLACK WIDOW (Counterfeit Island): Even in her youth, she was the creative culprit, the elegant embezzler, the stylish stealer. When she was a child, she ruined things; she was messy and disgusting. When her parents told her to be neat, she rebelled. She used what she considered an artistic ability to vandalize places and things, which eventually led to vandalizing some of the world’s greatest art pieces.
DR. HARE (24 Carrot Island): Mad scientist Dr. Harvey Hare loved experimenting – especially on carrots. With a carrot farm just a mile away from him, his experiments never lacked his favorite ingredient – that is, until he started buying the whole harvest of carrots. To save their farms, the farmers started limiting his supply shipment. As a solution, the scientist put on a rabbit costume and starting stealing the carrots, becoming known as Dr. Hare.
CAPTAIN CRAWFISH (Skullduggery Island): When James and Samuel Ridley were boys, their father was the leader of their island at Fort Ridley. When their father died, one of them had to assume Governor, so, James, being the oldest, assumed head governor. Sam was angered by his brother’s decision, left home, and headed to the seven seas. He become a ruthless pirate known as Captain Crawfish. The one place he knew where there was treasure, enough for him to automatically assume the head governor position, was Skullduggery island, which was where he set sail for.
OCTAVIAN (Mystery of the Map Island): Octavian was once a poor child captured by the knights on Mystery of the Map Island, until he was offered freedom if he double-crossed his friends. His freedom was granted, but he still worked for the knights, double-crossing everyone worth more than a dime.
DIRECTOR D (Spy Island): David D. Denali was an unpopular citizen who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Walking home from work one day, he was kidnapped by some B.A.D. agents. They convinced him to become their commercial leader; the face of their operations (the one everyone would see), and he accepted because he wanted fame. But soon he realized that he was stuck there and he’d be tortured if he left, which was why he carried out so many dastardly plans.
OMEGON & TESSA TURNCOAT (PoptropiCon Island): Omegon was the son of a powerful leader. His father wanted him to realize that the great power he’d have one day would also be a responsibility. But when his father saw the greed in Omegon’s eyes, he banished him from the planet. Out of anger he disobeyed his father’s greatest rule, responsibility. Meanwhile, Tessa Turncoat was a classic fan girl who fell in love with Omegon. After vowing her life to his, he messed up her mind and tortured her into doing what she did.
SHOGUN (Red Dragon Island): The evil Shogun and Basho were brothers. When Basho did exceedingly well in karate and impressed their father immensely, the Shogun-t0-be son was jealous. He felt the only way to impress his father was to create an empire in which everyone lived in fear – and that’s what he did.
COUNT BRAM (Vampire’s Curse Island): In the early 1800s, Bram Stoker fell in love with a fair maiden. But soon he was attacked by the vampire’s curse, which ended all love he could ever have. He locked himself in a castle waiting for the day of his maiden’s return, and grew angrier with each passing day.
RED BARONESS (Monkey Wrench Island): Grace Earhart, sister of Amelia Earhart, never lived up to her sister’s fame. When the big race came around, she knew it was her chance to ruin her sister’s fame and claim fame for herself.
40 THIEVES (Arabian Nights Island): The 39 poor people of the kingdom, a collective who survived together, had gotten a new leader: Scheherazade. She was a good speaker who could make anyone listen to her. She created her own dynasty by turning the beggars into thieves. Their legacy was unstoppable; that is, until you came along.
FRENCHIE (Mystery Train Island): The French reporter, known as Frenchie, was amazed by everything she saw at the Paris World’s Fair. When the Chicago World’s Fair was announced, she was furious, because she thought they were trying to show up the one in Paris. Not wanting the Chicago one to be better, she tried to sabotage it.
EL MUSTACHIO GRANDE (Wild West Island): El Mustachio was the marshal until he was kicked off the job because of violence towards the citizens, but he was angry because he thought he was fired unfairly. He got on his horse, took off, and formed a gang greater than any other, seeking revenge on the Diamond Plains.
GRETCHEN GRIMLOCK (Cryptids Island): Gretchen was the daughter of an eccentric billionaire. After her father died, she got none of the money – it only went to Harold Mews. She would’ve done anything for the money. After she heard of the million dollar reward, she felt that it was rightfully hers, and would stop at nothing to get it.
COPY CAT (Super Power Island): Copy Cat was a singer on Pop-Tube (Poptropica YouTube), but she wasn’t popular at all. She wanted to be a big-time singer, and tried to achieve this by plagiarizing from popular songs and calling them her own.
SPEEDING SPIKE (Super Power Island): Speedy Spike was used to driving on a highway where the speed limit was 120 miles per hour. When he drove on regular highways, he went way too fast, and disregarded the police’s attempts to accost him.
SIR REBRAL (Super Power Island): Sir Rebral stole people’s identities by playing mind games on them to confuse them. When the cops figured out what he was doing, they tried to stop him, but he played mind tricks on them too. However, one cop outsmarted him, and he was arrested.
RATMAN (Super Power Island): After Ratman robbed a store, he was caught by the police. To cover for his crimes, he blamed his friends to get out his situation, but when his friends were out of jail, he had to go into hiding because he’d betrayed them – which is how he ended up living in the sewers.
CRUSHER (Super Power Island): When Crusher and his friends visited the natural museum of endangered animals, they visited the bug section. Crusher was bored, so he decided to smash some of the bugs – which turned out to be the last of their species – and was arrested for his crime.
BETTY JETTY (Super Power Island):Betty Jetty failed her final exam at flight school, failing to get her flying license. Since she couldn’t get hired for a job without it, she printed a fake one. But when her new employers saw how badly she flew their planes, they knew she was a fraud.
MR. SILVA (Shrink Ray Island): With CJ as his student, he was always jealous of her inventions. He was so envious that he wanted to have them, and one day he decided that he had to steal it.
POPTROPICA ADVISORS (Mocktropica Island): After having their jobs denied as Poptropica animators, they wanted to destroy Poptropica. So they got jobs as the different advisors and tried to ruin the fun Poptropica experience.
ZEUS (Mythology Island):Zeus was an ignorant boy who always thought he was the best of his brothers. But when his father split the power over Mythology Island equally between them, he was mad. He wanted all the power he could get, and would try and get it in any way possible.
BOOTED BANDIT (Escape From Pelican Rock Island): Your Poptropican and the Booted Bandit were twins – but you were two minutes older. Your mother always favored you because you were the oldest. This made your sibling angry, and they decided to run away from home. When they had no money left, they decided to start stealing.
CONSTRUCTION CREW (Twisted Thicket): The head construction worker once ventured too far into the forest with his daughter. When they entered the Nokken territory, the hungry Nokken took his daughter away from him. The construction boss was so deeply mad and sad that he forever held a deadly grudge against the forest.
Thank you for reading, and I hoped you enjoyed these villain backstories. This was also posted on my blog, which I encourage you guys to check out [smartpoptropica.wordpress.com]. See you around!

(This is a guest post by Tall Cactus, who regularly blogs on her own site, Tall Cactus’ Poptropica Blog. Please note that this post is about a theory, and not to be taken as fact. With that said, enjoy! –🐠)
Hey Poptropicans, TC here! As you may know, last week a sneak peek for the upcoming New Poptropica was released: an animation of a monster worm. I actually think the worm is for the mysterious Crisis Caverns, which I believe could possibly be on the New Pop, but that isn’t what I want to discuss in this guest post.
Instead, I want to focus on New Pop’s release date. Like, when is it coming out? Surprisingly, there hasn’t been much revealed on the matter. More people are wondering what the content will be, not when it’s actually going to be revealed to the world. That’s why I decided to write about my theories on when the game-changing update will pop into existence…
First things first, it’s definitely coming out before the new year. The Creators have stated many, many times that we will see the New Poptropica “later this year” (2016) There is a slight chance that they won’t be able to finish before then, but I wouldn’t worry about that happening – even if it did, it would most likely just come out a couple months late, hopefully by January or February.
Right now, it’s October, and after that there are only two months left in the year. Meaning Pop 2.0 is right around the corner. At this point, it’s safe to assume it’s going to make its debut sometime in November or December, because it doesn’t look like it’ll be coming out this month. There’s too much Halloween sp00piness going on right now!
So yeah, expect it sometime in the next two months, goodbye and thanks for reading –
Wait just a minute, this needs more details! We can’t just forget about the holidays…
Because of the holidays, I doubt the New Pop will come out at the way end of December, as the Creators probably will have some time off of work, to spend time with their families just as we players do. And then there’s (American) Thanksgiving coming up on November 24th – since most of the Creators are based in the States, I’d assume they’d have some time off then, too.
As for the nearer future, I don’t necessarily think it will suddenly release in early November. They’ll probably take more time to work on it, so I doubt it’ll come out of nowhere.
That just leaves one possibility, one perfect opportunity. With the process of elimination, I can say that the New Pop will probably have a release date sometime in early to mid December. The 8th or the 15th perhaps, as Poptropica updates have a tendency to release on Thursdays. However, remember this is not a confirmed fact, so don’t be surprised if I am wrong. Until the Creators actually give out a real date, don’t go marking your (advent) calendars just yet.
Before I end this post, I’d like to say a few more things. Look, don’t worry about the New Pop. It’s not going to be bad. That worm animation was absolutely amazing and fresh, yet it stays true to the 2D Poptropica art style. New Poptropica may have some updated graphics from what we’ve seen, but I do believe it will stay the Poptropica we know and love.
I’d recommend you check out Shaky Skunk’s recent guest post for her theory about classic islands being remade in the New Poptropica, starting with 24 Carrot Island.
And with that marks the real end of this guest post. Thanks for reading – let’s get theorizing in the comments section below!
