Astro-Knights Island, Counterfeit Island, Skullduggery Island, Super Villain Island

Caught in a hare-ball

As you probably know, four of Poptropica’s big-name villains will be returning for the upcoming epic “Super Villain Island,” which the PHB has a discussion page for here. 24 Carrot Island was the first time we saw Dr. Hare, and if you haven’t played that yet, check out our walkthrough here!

Want to defeat these vile villains now, before they return? Check them out at:

  • Dr. Hare – 24 Carrot Island (guide)
  • Black Widow – Counterfeit Island (guide)
  • Captain Crawfish – Skullduggery Island (guide)
  • Binary Bard – Astro-Knights Island (guide)

Keep checking back here at the PHB for the latest news on the latest islands! 😀

Muddy Axe previously told us about the possibility of more Poptropica books, including a Mad Libs book and Poptropica Lime 1 for ages 6-7. Now we see that there are going to be books based on Astro-Knights and Skullduggery Island, and what’s more, there is cover art for the two! Cool! 😀

Astro-Knights Island (Poptropica) by Tracey West

Skullduggery Island (Poptropica) by Adrianne Ambrose

Both paperbacks are illustrated by MadPark Design Inc., and currently available for pre-order through Barnes & Noble for $5.39 and Amazon for $5.99 (US). They will be released on November 8, 2012.

There’s not much information about the books, but they seem to be storybooks to tell the tale of those particularly long islands. 😛

There is also going to be an activity book called Pencil Warrior with no image available yet and the description is:

The Poptropica Field Guide to Creativity

This amazing full-color celebration of Poptropica-inspired creativity traverses the most popular Islands of Poptropica. Features 16 pages of adventure-filled activities and plenty of amazing extras.

EDIT: You can count on books than just these, because Muddy Axe tells us that Cryptids Island (Poptropica) by Max Brallier and Lunar Colony by Patrick Kinney will see the light of day in 2013. Notice that the authors’ names indicate that they are related to Poptropica publishers Jess Brallier and Jeff Kinney!

What do you think of these books and the other ones mentioned before? Think you’ll be buying any, maybe? 🙂

p.s. I may be less active now that school has started, but will still be around.

Still stuck on Astro Knights?

I’m sure most of you already finished Astro Knights Island, but for the people who haven’t yet, Poptropica made a step-by-step walkthrough with video guides and all you need to complete one of the most challenging islands ever made on Poptropica! Of course, you can always use our PHB Island Help resources! 😀 Here’s how to get it and how it works (thanks to Striped Grape for the pics) :

Go to Astro Knights Island and walk until you see this stand:

Simply click on the card to get it! The best par: it’s free! *throws confetti into the air* 😀 The card appears in your Astro Knights inventory. Click “USE” and this menu should pop up:

Main Menu: This is the main page that pops up. It shows the most popular help topics that people need help on in Astro Knights.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough: This page shows the steps needed to complete Astro Knights! It tells you how to get items, where and when you get to use them, how to solve the tile puzzle, and how to defeat bosses like the Dragotank and Binary Bard. Each step is accompanied by a video guide with a play, pause, and repeat button so you can watch all the action! 😀

Help Topics by Category: The name should explain it all, shouldn’t it? 😀  The help topics are categorized by Key Items, Quest Objectives, and Boss Battles.

Hope you guys find the Poptropica guide and our PHB guides helpful! 🙂

One last note: I might not be able to post much because high school starts for me soon too, so if the authors could save Friday’s posts for me, that would be great! Kthxbai 😀

Astro-Knights Island, Sneak Peeks

The long wait for Astro-Knights Island is over!

Hoorah! After months and months of impatient waiting, it’s finally here! Let’s welcome the one-and-only Astro-Knights Island!

We’ve also updated our blog with an Astro-Knights island guide for the adventurers in distress!

Guide: https://poptropica.wordpress.com/island-help/astro-knights-island/astro-knights-guide/
More Information: https://poptropica.wordpress.com/island-help/astro-knights-island/

And here’s a final sneak peek at what you might expect on this troublesome island:

Blog Post Title: A Day in the Life of the Bard
Description: The Space Sharks are among my strongest but most stupid creations. They are a little thick headed, so I had to shoot at all three of them just so I could get their attention. We had quite a lovely space stroll until one of them got carried away and took a bite out of my space ship. What a mechanical mess! 0110111101110101011101000010000001100110

So head on out there and explore the unknown territories of outer space! The kingdom of Arturus is counting on you.

Astro Knights Island Is Out!

If you haven’t heard the hype, Astro Knights Island has been released! But, not to the general public, of course. You have to buy an Astro Knights Early Access Pass to get in. The island will be released to everyone on June 10th, so you don’t have to wait that long to play it! Personally, I have bought the pass, but will you?

Also, I know that most of you have experienced difficulty logging on Poptropica the past few days. Dr. Hare has properly addressed this problem:

Q: What’s going on with Poptropica right now?
A: With the launch of Astro-Knights island we’ve experienced an overwhelming surge in traffic. We are working on a solution to handle the increase in traffic to the site.

Q: When will Poptropica be back up?
A: We’re expecting to have the site ready within the next 24 hours.

Q: Is my account information lost?
A: No. The increase in traffic has caused temporary glitches that have made registered accounts unavailable. This is part of the fix we are working on. When we are back up and running, you will have full access to your account.

In fact, they fixed it right in a jiffy! It should be readily working now, and you are able to log in without the stupid machine constantly telling you that your name is forever nonexistent or to check on it later only to find it still repeating the same message like a broken record. 🙂

Oh, yeah; you might see something on the Poptropica website like:

  • ALERT: We’re currently making upgrades to the site. If you have trouble logging in or playing, please try again later. Thank you for your patience.

Just ignore it. Ignore it and walk away. Don’t let peer pressure get the best of you, kids.

ANYWAY, they have made updates to the map to suit the newly debuted Astro Knights Island as well as Reality TV Island. It does note that it is coming Summer 2009! Very cool!

astro1

It sure is getting quite crowded on the map. It would be cool to have a huge Poptropica Planet, and you could rotate it to see all of the islands. 😀 That reminds me… how are you able to travel to all of these islands all over the planet in just a simple blimp?

Next on the agenda, we are now able to sign up to be E-mailed when Reality TV Island releases! Yay! Unfortunately, we haven’t gotten the E-mail for Astro Knights, but predictably, we will get it on Wed., the day it releases for everybody.

^ ^ ^ Hippie Man is so awesome that he can say long phrases while he is smiling!

Also, on the Poptropica website you can now see that the little Astro Knight and Reality TV Island buttons have been updated based on the recent news:

astro2

The last piece of news is that there is a new poll on the PCB! It asks, “Do you plan on getting the Astro-Knights Early Access pass?

  • I already have it! [14%]
  • I will be getting it soon! [39%]
  • I haven’t decided yet. [12%]
  • No, I think I’ll wait. [33%]

I obviously voted that I already had it, but what did you vote? =O

I think that’s about it! I will try to get a guide up maybe this weekend for people who have bought the pass. We have also hit the 1,100,000 hit mark! Woot! =] What a great way to celebrate my B-Day which is in 2 days! ^-^ Merry Astro-Knight Island playing to all!

UPDATE: Whoops! I accidentally forgot something. Vlad the Viking has posted a new video on YouTube! It’s sort of a trailer/gameplay video of Astro Knights Island. Enjoy!
