On the horizon: a new island?

Hey, Poptropicans! What have we here?

Blue Tooth just posted a picture of herself on the Poptropica blimp, scanning the skies with binoculars in hand. Her words are few, but just enough to hint at a possibility we’ve all been waiting for: a new island??

The Instagram version of Poptropica’s post includes another clue: the caption, “What’s on the horizon??” is followed by an emoji of an island. 🏝 And already, Poptropicans are commenting on the post hoping for just that.

It’s been a long time since Poptropica has seen a new island—the last one was Greek Sea Odyssey on Poptropica Worlds, which was released in February 2018, more than a year ago. The wait for a new island has never been longer, and Poptropicans are still holding onto the hope of another island adventure, just like old times. Could it finally be happening?

What do you think is on the horizon for the summer? What would you like to see on a new Poptropica island? Sound off in the comments, and as always, stay popping, Poptropicans!

  1. If this is actually a new island, I really hope they do this in Worlds (and potentially do some tuning and upgrading to Worlds too).

  2. Btw, does anyone think that the vanilla Poptropica deserves a better and shorter name than “original”?

  3. I really think an island where you are the bad guy would be so cool. Because who knows Poptropica better than everyone else? You! This island will require more work, but it could be the best. The outcome depends on how many islands you’ve completed, what you’ve picked up from the islands, what path you choose. The good guys? Captain Crawfish, Dr. Hare, Black Widow, and Binary Bard, the people you turned good when you removed their root of evil in Super Villian island…IF you completed that island. If not, the good guys can be someone else.

    1. But, why would I want to be a bad guy? Besides, that wouldn’t really co-exist well with the format of Poptropica since it is based on these things:

      -problem/mystery solving
      -primary goal

What I’m most curious about is what is the primary goal and why? A bad guy would have a goal of his/her own, and that goal would be selfish or it would be based on a misunderstanding. And lets be honest, who would go with and agree with a bad guys motives?

And do you mean being bad just for the sake of being bad? Because otherwise, the bad guy would think they’re on the right side and what they believe in is right.

      1. But, there is a way around this, and that is to make an islamd that is sort of like an RPG where the player has the choice to pick what they believe is right, and what they choose may change the progress of the and outcome of the story for better or worse.

Something like that would work and would be kind of cool. (Still wanting a Carmen Sandiego-like island.)

      2. Sometimes I agree with a bad guy’s motives, they’re just doing it in a wrong way. RingMaster Raven has a twisted motive, but what he wanted was to be accepted, he just went about it in the wrong way. Then we go and make a mockery out of the rest of his life. That’s actually terrible. I feel it would be around the same way with us being the bad guys.
