Hello, Poptropicans!
If you’ve seen Poptropica’s latest sneak peek, you’ll see construction for the Pet Barn is nearly finished, and soon we’ll all be able to adopt our very own companion animal — how exciting! Here’s one of the screenshots that was posted on the Creators’ Blog yesterday:
We can see that there’ll be at least 4 different animals to choose from: a bunny rabbit (which appears to be exclusive to members only), a dog, a chameleon, and a cat — which in my opinion kind of looks like another type of dog. 😅
In the previous gif sneak peek we received in November last year, we saw a goat along with the others which is now absent. I think it’s safe to assume it’s just cropped out of the game screen in this particular sneak peek, so no biggie.
The animals are cute as they are, but how cool is it that we’ll actually be able to change their color (using the colorizer tool!)? All the more way to make your pet your own!
In the post on the Creators’ Blog, they imply that there’ll be other ways to customize your pet. In what ways would you like to make your pet unique? I’m hoping for some clothing options, myself.
Well, that about wraps it up as far as news goes. There are a few questions I’d like to ask the creators regarding this upcoming feature before I sign off, though:
- Will we be able to name our pets?
- Can we have multiple pets?
- Can having a pet benefit us? (e.g. in Club Penguin, pets called Puffles could dig up coins and special items while walking them around)

I guess you are convinced that Poptropica Worlds is abandoned as you asked for new islands in the original Poptropica.
I actually do want new islands on Worlds… I really want new stuff on Worlds…
All I want is an island. And I don’t think I’m the only one.
These new updates aren’t fun, especially for non-members. Non-members are just left to sit around and watch Poptropica expand, wishing that there was something for them to do besides playing Sky Dive in the arcade over and over again.

Just don’t make the colorizer or other customization options exclusive to membership holders. 🙏

In the post he said that the cats look like another type of dog. They do! In my opinion, they look like orange chihuahuas!
SO glad they changed the eyes (I don’t know, they just kind of looked weird to me 😅).
Also, this is sort of a long shot, but don’t lose hope on the goats! There looks like another 2nd floor platform (with the sack on top) to the right that we aren’t seeing completely!

IF they truly did stop working on Poptropica Worlds, then I have a theory that the Poptropica Creators are adding stuff that they were supposed to add to Poptropica Worlds to the original Poptropica. My gosh.

I think pets just got unofficially released… For some reason I have a kitten and a puppy card that just popped in my inventory. I’m not sure if its just me being slow lol, but does anyone else have this?

Funny thing is, the puppy is apparently ‘members-only,’ yet I’m not even a member 🤔

This is weird… I tried checking my inventory on SUI format but the cards aren’t there. When I click ‘use’ in non sui-format as shown in the picture I posted above, nothing happens (they probably aren’t compatible in non sui islands).
It is, I just checked it when I went to Monster Carnival and I saw a pet I clicked it and the pets were there

I had to get them. I got all of them but the kitten.
Almost all of them are members!!! 😔
It is sad because some of the pets you need to be a member to get the top pets (sigh)
