April Fools day. A day for foolery and miscious. And PHB had a go at it.

For 3 days before, during, and after Aprils Fools day, the PHB team changed the whole site to appear as if it was now serving another online game called “Club Penguin”. And boy did PHB fool alot of people!

Crying, thrashing, tearing, yelling, “WE WANT PHB BE BACK! WE WANT PHB BACK!”. We got dozens of comments and emails of pure panic that the site had mysteriously changed over night.

Not only was it the readers that got fooled but the Poptropica Creators Blog (PCB) got fooled too:

We wanted to acknowledge a certain “Help Blog” for Poptropica that recently changed formats. They had a lot of talent, and we’ll miss them terribly. Good luck guys.

Whether or not this was the creators just joining in on the foolery, or maybe they were just completly fooled, or maybe they were just talking about another site (unlikely 😉 ).

So what on earth did we do to make it look so much like we had changed.

First off Codien designed the header, making it as real as possible as if we were really a help blog serving Club Penguin.

Now we had to write the posts and pages.  We were stuck. We had to write lots of posts and pages in less then 3 days. We couldn’t do it. So we emailed a very good friend of ours and asked her if we could use her posts for the prank.

This person was Happy Pippi – Happy Pippi owns a  wonderful, amazing, well organized blog involving Club Penguin. Her blogged is filled with amazing posts and pages.

When we asked she was very happy in letting us use her posts (Suggesting the name 😉 ).

We would like everybody to give a very big thanks to Happy Pippi. THANKS HAPPY PIPPI!

  1. Could I ask you something? How did you delete your old posts? I’m trying to delete a post on my blog and I can’t figure out how. Oh and OMG I CAN”T BELIEVE THE CREATORS WERE LOOKING AT OUR BLOG! THAT EXPLAINS EVERYTHING! Oh and on Poptropica, Everyone’s head is HUGE! And at the opening screen, you know when the people run across the screen? Well, their heads are huge too and they are wearing Groucho Marx glasses! Look and see!

    1. When you click on Posts in the dashboard you can select any post then you can have an option of deleting or editing them at the top and bottom of the screen.

        A help blog about Poptropica was mysteriously changed 2 a nice help blog about the game Club Penguin, which could be a big competition against Poptropica. The wonderful posts that ST, Smockers, and Codien worked hard 2 post also perished in the mysterious alterations. The PCB was reading this blog. I forgot what Hazmat Hermit said, but I think he said, “Plz change it back!” Is that true? The beloved PHB will now work 4 club penguin 4ever. Really? Check this out!

        And I did the things I remembered that were in PHB sneak peeks:

        On April 1st, 2009, bloggers were startled to find that the “Poptropica Help Blog” by Scary Tomato, Smockers, and Codien(a blog assisting people with the online game, Poptropica,) had changed to the “Club Penguin Help Blog” overnight.

    1. I don’t know how they wont be. I didn’t even know they were in the beginning. I’m sure they will find out that it was a joke. They might even post it on there blog.

    1. jake – Yes! The “Club Penguin Help Blog” on the PHB was just an April Fools joke. We do have something special planned that involves all the readers, as we have said, and it is coming soon. Keep checking back at Poptropica Help Blog for more information about this! 😉

First I was angry, then confused, then relieved when you guys answered my email saying “April Fools” then confused again when you didn’t change it back for a while and now I am very happy that you dudes are back, but I am still laughing at my self. 🙂 But it was very funny.   39. I knew something was weird when all of those posts and pages appeared in one day. I suspected it because me and my friends love pulling pranks on each other on April Fools.

    This year I told a friend of mine that Astro-Knight Island released 3 weeks ago. Boy was he shocked.

  43. The April Fool’s joke was HILARIOUS!!!! It made me laugh so much after you guys came back. And I was starting to get worried! Mostly I was fooled because it was still March 31st when you guys first did this, and you guys didn’t return on April 2nd when I got on. That’s why I got so worried, and did the “lay a heart” thing.
